I use these as an replacement of steel wool for washing windows-my profession. I'm giving 4 stars because its not quite as good at grabbing caulk, spider poop, bird poop and environmental mineral buildup as steel wool. It takes twice as long and can't "feel" the rough spots on the window as slide the grey clothe as I do the wool. I don't use steel wool presently because all the big box stores are currently selling wool that rust within about 90 minutes from getting wet. It has always been quite variable but I use to get anywhere from 4 hours to two days without rusting. At about $.25 per wool I could spend as much a $10.00/week in wool. Way to much money.
