I didn't know what to expect until I received it in the mail. And in my opinion, it is almost exactly the same as Newmark PTO1 model. But unlike that one, this one doesn't play 12 inch records. The only advantage this model has over PT one is that it records music onto a thumb drive which is nice but no 12 inch Records means a dealbreaker for me. So, do the math. This is a great price point for a really fun portable turntable. I had no difficulty getting it set up. It's pretty much ready to go out of the box. I only wish that the headphone jack wasn't in the back, but that is far from a deal breaker. Torque is good. Motor responsive. Great curve controls.
