Got these as extra dishes for the stands that are sold separately, they fit perfectly. The rubber bottom is also a great feature if you don't use the stand, so dish stays put. Can't go wrong with these!

I bought this to use for water.I adopted a cat who came with a plastic water bowl. I tried a ceramic bowl for water that I already had in the house, and he wouldn’t drink out of it.He drank out of this bowl the first day I put it down. It actually makes the water feel cool/ cold.Yes, it is shallow, and it works great for a cat for water or for food.Dogs would need a deeper bowl, unless it is a geriatric dog who may find this easier.The non slip bottom is great and it is just a quality product all around. I am very happy with this purchase.

Perfect size for each of my 12 pound adult cats. The non slip bottom is very well made. I highly recommend these bowls!
