Great; after several years persevering with a slate axe, these made all the difference. First job I used them on was a building a slate-clad dormer, and it made it a genuinely enjoyable job. It creates a perfect riven cut, absolutely straight but not with that nasty artificial edge you get with a grinder. The only thing to be aware of is that it won’t cut thick reclaimed slates, but on Spanish new or thin to medium reclaims it’ll be fine.

Got these at a good price, worth the money.

Slate cutters Started to jam within a week of using, youd expect better quality for the price , disappointment with this product , would not recommend.

Snips are brilliant,I'm not happy with the new style slate cutter as they broke after only a few weeks, the old style used to break but easily fixed with a 4" nail to replace the broken bolt.I have been using edma slate cutters for 15 years these where the worst quality I have ever had.

The lead snips are perfect but the slate cutters ive recieved are second hand.. im not very happy and i want a replacement set of cutters

Not happy with the slate cutters, only cut three slates and they started to stick, and not fully open, would like a new pair sent out

Proved a good tool for cutting Welsh roof tiles
