Compact, multi-use as a fire starter, whistle, pocket knife, bottle opener.
•Overall Impression:-This is a good emergency, go bag or camping multi-use fire starter, whistle, pocket knife and bottle opener. It's compact, all in one and easy to carry on the attached lanyard.• Pros-what I liked and what worked well:-Good for emergency use in a glove box, go bag, emergency kit or for camping.-Multi use in one: fire starter, whistle, pocket knife, bottle opener.-Twists together securely, stays shut and doesn't fall open.-Attached lanyard makes it easy to wear or attach to a backpack.-Fire-starter needs no matches. You use the flint on the metal to create a spark. It's secured in a way that it won't strike itself accidentally during storage.-Fairly lightweight, but it does have a little heft to it and it is a bit long in length.-Sturdy and well made, good quality.-Has no unpleasant scent to it.-Textured outer case and handles makes it easy to hold and grasp.• Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well:-No issues.• Tips & Thoughts:-This does have a pocket knife inside it. Use discretion on where you take it. Pocket knives are not allowed in some buildings, areas and modes of transportation and may need to be surrendered when going through a metal detector or emptying pockets or in a purse or bag for x-ray.-You may need to look up and learn how to use a flint with metal beforehand to learn to use it to create a fire.-The bottle opener may be used to open small cans in the way a normal bottle opener is to make a small opening to pour out of (but not completely open a can like a can opener).

Nice Survival Multi Tool
The fire starter is nice to have when you are camping. You don't have to use flint or anything fancy, just use this tool. The whistle is great for when you need to get someone's attention. Pocket knife is good for cutting items and the bottle opener is good for a drink. Great to keep on your bag when you go camping.

Really cool
This thing is really cool I wanted to show both of my daughters how it worked, and even they learned quickly the strike on it as well made, and it started a little fire instantly within about 2 to 3 strikes

A lot going for it, but not perfect.
There is so much I like about this tool that I wish I didn't find the flaws it has.To begin with, the tool itself is rugged, well constructed and small. You could put it in a front pants pocket and barely notice it's there. Having fire, a cutting tool, nylon rope, and a whistle in such a small tool would be a huge advantage if you ever truly needed it. Oh - and you get a bottle opener just as a nice extra. The disadvantages come when you look at the jobs of the individual tools. The knife is quite small, and could be sharper. It's not really sufficient for a lot of jobs, but it will cut string, sharpen a stick, do minor surgery, etc.. Still, it sure does beat not having one if you need it. The knife works great with the ferro rod for sparking a fire, but the ferro rod worked far better with a larger pocket-knife. The whistle is where it all falls apart. It only emits a very high-pitch, and I couldn't hear it at all as an older man with some hearing loss. My teenage could hear it well. Potentially the whistle is probably the most important tool included so it's a shame it didn't work a bit better.Overall I really like where this tool is going, and I would much rather have it in a wilderness situation than not have it. If they could get the whistle working better and perhaps improve the knife a bit I think it could be a spectacularly useful tool. As it stands though, it could use some improvements.

The Knife Cuts-Period!
The WWO Survival Tool is not what I would rely on for anything other than a compact neck knife. The whistle is absolutely useless. I tried with all my lungpower to get a simple note out of it-but failed! All that is heard is the sound of air rushing through a short tube. It has a plastic reed pressed into the end, and I have other usable whistles that include a similar piece, but this one doesn't make the whistle work at all. Secondly the Fire Starter doesn't produce much of a spark! Just a minimum amount and not enough to get cotton balls with petroleum jelly to ignite much less anything I could find in nature. I tried every technique of striking it with the knife's blade, the back of the knife and even the bottle or can opener feature on the knife's back. All it did was scape away all the black paint off the rod, produce a few small sparks and dull the knife significantly in the process. The rod is far harder than the blade so before long the blade's edge is ruined. I recommend you look elsewhere for if your survival depends on a gimmick like this.
