Large enough so both the shelves hold large bottles
Unit has 2 equal height shelves so both shelves hold large bottles of shampoo. Just a notch smaller than studs placed 16" on center so I boxed out on one side along with the top and bottom, to create a frame to screw into. Before installing niche I ran a bead of 100% silicone calk all the way around sides as a prevention to avoid a future leak. I then used nylon drywall tape around outside before floating/leveling with thinset. I now have a proper surface for tile. Where screws go into the edge of niche, to secure it to backer board, the edge is indented so screws are recessed to create a flat surface. I used same screws that I used to install the concrete board. Spouse really likes large size, which was not available in big box home canters. Pic is showing ready for tile!

Big
It serves its purpose and it holds the larger sized products.

Made building a cubby easier
This is a good quality cubby. Thick enough to hold it's shape. Thin enough to fit nicely into our wall. Tiled it over and it looks fine. It was difficult to cut the tiles to fit as it's sloped to allow water to flow off the shelves, but the angles were hard for amateurs like us to figure out, but we got it done.

Worked out well
Good size and looks nice when the tiling is finished. It was difficult to get the tile and grout to stick to the plastic. It is a standard size and fits well between the wood studs of the wall. The plastic seems sturdy. I had it installed by a contractor.

Very well built. Works great.
This niche is very well built and a good size to hold the tallest soap/shampoo bottles as well as bar soaps on the bottom section. The only part to watch out for during finishing is to make sure not to build the shelves on too much of an angle to prevent the possibility of items sliding off. But that is up to the builder to do.The niche itself works great and is easy to install with the nail edges.

Good size, drains well
As you can see in the photos, this was installed with a shower remodel. It is in a location that is hit with water when the shower is in use, but water doesn't sit in it. It will hold your tallest bottles of shampoo or body wash, and had a handy little shelf for razors and scrubbers. It was definitely the right choice for us. My handyman said it was easy to install.

These were way cheaper and just as good as the purple stuff.
WAAAY cheaper than the big-box brands. Ordered two and installed two. They are great looking after the tile is in and no one will know the difference.
