Hello! I see all the great reviews for this product but when I opened my jar after two weeks my pickles were VERY mushy. Help!!!

Did you add something with tannins like grape leaves, bay leaves, or a black tea bag? The tannins help keep the pickles crunchy.

How many pumps to remove the oxygen?

Hello - Thank you for your helpful question! After your jar is packed, you only require 2-3 pumps to remove excess air. Once your ferment becomes active, it will push out any additional air automatically. Thanks again!

hi, oredered the kit but did not recieve instructions how can I get them?

I use mine to make kimchi and pickles..for kimchi I put napa cabbage in a salt bath over night..rinse and mix korean chili powder, fish sauce, sugar , onion and garlic..work that into the cabbage and pack into fermentor..done in 5 days..for pickles 2 teaspoons of salt in a quart mason jar..put in cukes and top with water..about 5 days. rinse and fill the jar with 1/2 apple cider vinegar and half honey.
