Hello in There!: A Big Sister's Book of Waiting (Growing Hearts)

Our 23 month old daughter loved this book, definitely helped her understand my belly and our new arrival!

Lovely book for a 3 year old. Sadly the book arrived damaged despite the packaging not being damaged. This was a gift and so I did not have time to return it.

It’s a nice thought but the story that goes along with it isn’t great. Every page has a flap, with the exception of the last, where the baby of the story has been born. I think the illustrations are nice but they don’t grab the attention of our 2.5yr old. We won’t be keeping it

Bought this for my best friends little girl when she was expecting a little brother and it helped her to grow into her role as a caring and kind big sister. Love this book!

The book is cute, however we decided to bring it back because at the beginning of the story it has a strange phrase and an even stranger illustration; in the context of the sister talking to the baby in the belly, she says something similar to: don’t be afraid of the shades, my light will shine on them (something like that) and the illustration shows her with huge monster made out of shades coming out of her and smiling and throwing kisses at the baby. We thought it was kind of odd and as Christians we felt more comfortable not keeping that book (thankfully our daughter didn’t see it at all). We know how deep certain things can go in a child’s mind so we decided to stay safe and we got other books that are way more normal and still beautiful and helpful in preparing our girl to welcome her sibling.

The sweetest book! Perfect for surprising a big sister with baby announcement! I bought this book to announce our pregnancy to our 4 year old. It walks through the excitement and curiosity of a baby in mommy’s tummy with a Big Sister announcement at the end. My 4 year old was engaged and followed along with the story.
