AKG K182 Professional Closed Back Studio Headphones

Bought these closed-back headphones for work, I work in an open plan office and they drown the sound out pretty well.

They are AKG (just about says it all) - nice flat sound response, quality build and reasonable external sound blocking with the closed design. Just don't to forget to mute mic channel before a vocalist removes them!

Having being disappointed with my purchase of the AKG K240 headphones, I returned them and replaced them with the AKG182’s for a similar price For a casual listener (especially those who enjoy different genres) their audio range are perfect for a clarity and bass. Highly recommended.

I am getting upset at having to return these again. They are comfortable, reasonable value and decent sound but the driver keeps breaking internally.

Excellent if you're looking for a pair of headphones for instruments or studio. If you're looking for everyday headphones look elsewhere.

Awesome quality

Insulation ok, a bit heavy and hot but as a dj headphone they're great for it. warm sound not full of bass

These are my first pair of circumaural headphones, and wow they are so comfortable. Apart from the warmth on the ears, I could easily forget I'm wearing them. I chose these headphones after spending days looking at all the options, and here are the reasons for my choice: - No connecting cables hanging free from the headband (unlike some Sennheisers) - A single cable connection (on the left phone) - Robust and comfy (they really are very comfy!) - Detachable/replaceable cable (and it's a standard cable - e.g. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KAST95Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) - Foldable for easy portability (they come with an AKG travel bag) - Sound isolation (you can't hear what's going on around you) - Low sound leakage coz they're closed-back `phones (i.e. people can't hear what you're listening to) - Great frequency range (10Hz to 28kHz) - Good bass, but not too bass-heavy coz they're monitor headphones (unlike Beats, Audio Technica ATH-M50x, etc) - Great for electronic music (my favourite genre) - Low Ohms requirement (so you don't need a headphone amp - they work fine with mobile phones, iPods, etc) - Comfortable on a largish head (mine!) - Great value for money Basically, these headphones tick all the boxes, unless you want a very wide sound stage and need open-back headphones instead. I'm so happy with these headphones I just spent about 4 hours listening to my music collection like it was the first time. The detail is amazing, if you push the volume up a bit. Everything sounded great - and my collection ranges from Autechre and Aphex Twin to Mahler and Philip Glass (with some rock, jazz and blues thrown in for good measure).
