I bought this reel based on the provisos that it would firstly fit the reel seat of my Shimano Exage travel rod and secondly that it would carry enough line for both shoreside spinning lures and light boat fishing for Bass, Plaice, Bream and the likes. This little beauty doesn't fail to deliver. For the price, it delivers not only superb engineering but also the quality and smoothness of a high end reel. Over my years of fishing, I've stripped and rebuilt and reconditioned many reels and I have total faith in knowing that this will service me for many years to come without any problems. In short, would I recommend this reel based on my impressions out of the box, oh yeah!!!
