Game-Changer for Litter Box Issues!
I bought this product to resolve a long-standing issue: my cat had been consistently pooping and occasionally peeing on the carpet in a specific area behind my couch. This went on for 18 months, and no matter how much I cleaned the spot, the behavior persisted—until I tried these scat mats. The results were immediate! As soon as I placed the mats, my cat stopped soiling the area entirely and started pooping 100% of the time in his litter box. He was already peeing in the box about 50% of the time, and even that has improved. This product has been life-changing for both of us.I’m soon getting a new desk, and the dining room table I’ve been using as a desk will take the place of these mats. I might leave a few mats underneath the table as an extra deterrent since I won’t really be sitting at it, but I’m hopeful that all the praise I’ve given him for using the litter box will stick. (Though I do wish he would bury his poop!)Pros:Affordable and incredibly effective as a temporary training tool.Easy to set up—I used zip ties to connect the rectangles (not mentioned in the product details but very helpful for creating a stable mat layout).Perfect for stopping cats from soiling specific problem areas.Cons:If you step on the mats, they hurt—though thankfully they don’t pierce the skin.Walking on the mats can damage them slightly, so they may not last long in high-traffic areas.Works best on surfaces where you don’t walk often, like tabletops or counters.Overall, I highly recommend these scat mats for anyone dealing with cats soiling outside the litter box. They are an affordable, effective solution that gets the job done. With proper placement and consistent positive reinforcement, they can be a great tool for training your cat to avoid problem spots!

CAT TRAINING TOOL
Works as intended. I have raised garden beds which the neighborhood ferals have turned into their large, personal litter box. I placed these on top of the soil as a "training tool." I only saw evidence of one attempt at entry, but it's been a week now and I hope they have decided to look elsewhere to "do their duty." I still catch them in the yard on our video cameras, but they are now avoiding the raised beds.Once I'm confident they are fully trained, I can begin planting again. My husband has also placed some on the ground next to our fence to discourage them coming over the fence. Seems to be working there also.

Very effective with consistent use.
This was the second set of these that I have purchased. They have proven to be effective in training my cats to stay off of countertops and kitchen tables. My cats will occasionally jump up on them, but they won't stay. They are clearly uncomfortable without being hurtful. They are easy to clean, I simply rinse them off when they need it. I kept the original boxes which they fit back into for easy storage.

Effectively keeps cat off!
My cat recently developed a habit of pursuing on our counters, which I tolerated UNTIL she found the baby's formula, opened it, and played in it/ate it.... TWICE. In a fed up fury, I bought these as step 1 of getting her off the counter. I placed a couple of them on the counter, which a decorative pumpkin with dried flowers in the middle that she historically likes to gnaw on. To my disappointment, there was evidence of her on the counter the next morning. It took me some trial and error, but this is what I've learned....1) Cover the entire counter. If she had some space to walk freely, she will.2) She won't 'land' on them from jumping. So I put them on the barstools, because she doesn't like to jump straight to the counter from the floor. The product itself works. It's a matter of outsmarting my cat at least with the placement of the product. In addition to my counters, I placed them on the back of the couch to deter her from slumping the cushions and she leaves them alone.A good price for some piece of mind. They are sharp and unpleasant, and good quality. Each square is a good size, larger than I expected them to be.

Clear plastic and lightweight
I was looking for a way to keep my cat from sleeping on my bed everyday, all day. Very hard to train a cat. This item has done it for me. Clear plastic, so it doesn't mess with my bedroom decor, You get 12 in a pack which will cover a queen size bed nicely. And it worked! Nice clean bed to sleep in. I think that these would also work well in the garden if you have trouble with cat using flower beds for cat box.

They work, could be better quality. I will be buying another set in the near future.
I have 5 cats. I am a crazy cat man.Sanity is a thin line to chase. Cats are little furry maniacs. That is why you are looking at these. We love our maniacs, but we enjoy using things for a while or keeping the litter critters out of a spot or area for our own sanity.Pros:- Cats don't like it, but they will go over it if they can do it at a complete run. I can work with that.- The tiles are decent sized, made to lock together (see Cons too), and are easily trimmable to fit into tight or odd spots.- The spikes are big. I'm afraid to step on this thing, definitely a Lego competitor in that aspect 100 %.Cons:- They are kinda flimsy. Not a deal breaker, but was hoping for just a bit more, ya know.- They slide easy, and cats will figure that out pretty quick if they are determined or motivated enough. Little bit of double sided tape or similar works.- The con from earlier. They are made to lock together, and do with a caveat. You need to tie them together along with threading the tabs or duck tape them together from underneath. I used tiny zip ties, the holes are already in them. This could have been a much better design. Just play Tetris by spinning them around until you are happy with how they line up and secure them together.
