Performance, style, quality...and real engineering
Stop reading reviews and buy these. These are absolutely the highest quality you can find. The weight and balance of these are perfect. If you haven't worn bayonet style arms behind your ears before, give it a few days. Like a new pair of shoes you might have a little tenderness. HOWEVER, it will go away and you'll enjoy the ease of removing and putting on bayonets. Pilots prefer this style to quickly remove glasses and read/view items in darker parts of the cockpit. You'll enjoy them while using your phone in bright environments.Mineral glass is far superior to polycarbonate lenses. Much clearer, harder to scratch, and doesn't glare or fractalize bright light as much. It adds weight, but the function of the lenses is far superior to lighter-weight poly. You'll enjoy them more, and they'll last longer.I'm impressed that Randolph includes a repair kit and a keychain mini screwdriver in the glasses case. Why? Randolph knows that making real sunglasses, with real metal and glass, leads to more vibration on the screws. Putting a screw into a plastic frame creates a tighter bond, but makes it harder to do repairs and leads to stress fractures. Some (well known, premium) companies use bonding agents in their metal frame screws. Those other companies also use cheap, soft metal parts to cut cost. If you don't believe me, try to unscrew the lens banding from a pair of (rhymes with "spray tan") Aviators and watch what happens with the screw. Be sure to have another screw on hand.I've "field stripped" my Randolphs several times, taking the lenses out, cleaning the lens and the banding thoroughly, and tightening all hinges--a must after beach trips. The screws are solid, hard to strip, and meant to be used this way. With the exception of replacing the soft nose pads once a year, I fully expect that these sunglasses will be an heirloom...if I don't lose them.

Best Pair Of Sunglasses I Have Owned To Date!
I have owned Ray Ban Aviators for the past 5 years and have no complaints about them. Previous to that I had owned various styles of Oakley Sunglasses.I purchased these and absolutely love the fit and how comfortable they are. I purchased them in 58MM with the Gray Polarized Lens. They fit well when wearing my motorcycle helmet, baseball hat and I use them at the shooting range on occasion if I forget my safety glasses. They are perfectly balanced in terms of weight. I actually "forget" they are on my face. They come in a nice carrying case with a very large cloth to clean the lenses, a screwdriver and extra nose pads. No other brand of sunglasses that I have purchased come with the additional items I mentioned.I highly recommend these to anyone. I knew the size frame I needed but I would suggest trying these on at an authorized dealer prior to purchase. I say that because they do sit differently on your fave over a Ray Ban Aviator (RB's have tear shaped lenses over the square of the Randolphs).Amazon again ships quickly (I am a Prime customer) and package arrived in A+++ condition! Thank you Amazon yet again for a flawless delivery!

Super Durable Military Graded Sunglasses
I had my first pair of Randolph Engineering AVIATOR sunglasses for almost 8 years, they were a gift for my birthday so the size was not correct for my face, however they were still light and comfortable to wear. Only the pads' plastic cracked a little bit but they never bent or deformed even after all those years of use and sometimes a bit of abuse. My new pair is polarized and I'm loving them already. This time I ordered the sunglasses so the size is correct

Sturdy!
-Unfortunately I had to return these because they didnt fit me but WOW was I amazed with the quality!-You would think that because of their thin wire look they would feel nimble and fragile, boy would you be wrong.-I thought they would bend like wirehangers but these were as tight and heavy as a military grade chain link fence.-With that being said the style takes some getting used to, due to the shape and angle of the lenses you may think that they are crooked even though they are not.
