**Q: can this valve be mounted vertically?**
A: yes it can be.

**Q: Is the Jandy lid/flap assembly compatible with this valve?**
A: The holes line up,  but the seal may not be perfect.   We do have replacement flap assemblies if you need it.

**Q: Woulld this work on the "inlet" side from the pond to the pump? (Not the output side of pump)**
A: I would not put this check valve on the inlet side of a pump. Outlet side only.

**Q: Can one use a regular pvc cement to glue this cpvc valve to a regular pvc pipe?**
A: you can use regular pvc/ abs glue.

Part works as expected. When purchased, I made mistake in the opening size but was able to change the PVC size and did not need to return. Make sure to pick the right part as there are a couple of options.
