Upgrade!
I've done everything to make my setup as comfortable as possible. I can't do anything about how heavy it is, but I've gotten a better head strap, a myopia lens for my weak eye, grip pads for the controllers, a venting faceplate for the heat. I thought I was done and it was the best it could be. Then I found this mask pad. Upgrade! It really does feel cooler against my face. I haven't used it for a session yet, but not only does it feel cooler, it's softer too. Even if it doesn't keep me cool, I'm keeping it. And the light blocker at the nose was another game-changer. Those darn light blockers. Can't game with them, can't game without them. I had no idea that if it was split all the way to the tip of my nose, it would still block the light. There's even a little hole there. Nose pressure solved! As noted at the beginning here, I didn't need the faceplate. The one I have is the same shape with more vents. I just needed the pad. And, as all companies do, the light blocking shield is changed enough that it can't just be moved to another faceplate. So, I used it as a guide to trim my existing light blocker and installed the pad on my existing faceplate. Had to re-fit my unit for the slightly thicker pad, but it's now ready for my next energetic gaming session. I still expect to sweat. I just hope that it's not as much. I'm using a silicone face shield over the pad for now. That may change. Looking forward to gaming with less nose-pressure issues, too.I'm so glad I got this cooling faceplate and pad, even if I'm only using the pad. If you don't already have a vented faceplate for exercise, get this one. I recommend this cooling pad setup.

Worth it
So much more comfortable that stock, and feels cooler.

Helps with sweating, but fabric is uncomfortable.
The cooling gel is nice but after 1 minute you don't really notice it anymore. Instead you notice the fabric rubbing on your face. After an hour or 2 it gets very uncomfortable.

BEST INVESTMENT EVER!!!
Stays cold and fits very well. Nose piece stops it from fogging which is what I needed. Comes with a 2 year warranty!! Very rare. Good price and good quality all around! No complaints and definitely gonna enjoy playing my vr.

This cooling face pad for the Quest 2 is awesome and really works!
I really love this cooling face pad for the Quest 2!! It is very comfortable and really does keep your face cooler while playing games. I tried putting my old face pad back on (the one that came with the Quest 2) and I couldn't believe how much hotter I was and how much more it made me sweat while playing. I really recommend this cooling face pad if you want to stay cooler and sweat less while playing games on the Quest 2!

Most "meh" face pad ever
This thing is so confusing to me. The gel creates a nice squishy pad that feels better than anything I've ever felt before... if it wasn't for the fabric. Sometimes, it feels like there is velcro (the scratchy stuff on shoes that don't have laces) rubbing up against my face when I move around too much. If the material was silicon, this would be a 10/10 must-have product.

It really works!
My sons forehead was breaking out with the default cushion that comes with the Quest… he would often complain about how sweaty he would get inside the headset and nicknamed it to the “sweataquest” bc of it. I started to notice that not only was his forehead breaking out despite washing his face and wiping off the quest, but when you squeezed the cushion it was like cold sweat. 🤢 anyway - I figured I would try this out though I was skeptical that it would work and that it wouldn’t be even more absorbent than that rubbery default lining. That said…. It’s amazing! My son no longer has to clean the lens every use, his forehead is back to being clear, he doesn’t call it “sweataquest” anymore! The only thing ve noticed that’s different since using it is that he will have more of a mark on his cheeks when he takes it off where previously it was more of an overall pressure on his face. I wonder if it’s because the material is so soft and silky that it just slides and sits where it lands? It goes away quickly anyway and the benefits have far outweighed this minor inconvenience. This is possibly the best purchase I’ve made in a long time - it was not only better for gaming but literally helped me son better experience VR.

Great choice and fits perfectly
Eventually the facepad on a Meta Quest 2 VR headset will wear out or get ratty and tatty and will need to be replaced. There are so many to choose from.We read the reviews and picked this one and it has been a good choice. It fits well and stays in place. Solid product.
