Found the unit a bit difficult to adjust on the hard hat but got it dial in eventually. Also impacted by the need to mount goggles on the helmet, that might be rare, but this was my situation working around chemicals. nice and bright. batteries last a couple of days with intermittent use approx. 3.5hrs a day. A bit of a pain to unscrew the cover on batteries but that's the nature of the beast to make sure no sparks escape. Would highly recommend the product. Most other comparable products are around double the price. BTW, the packaging looked like the driver dropped it on the road and ran over it a couple times...but it still worked. UPDATE #1: After a few months of usage, the height adjustment is starting to fail. As I walk, the light begins to droop until it's shining down in front of me. Dissappointed that the adjustment didn't last longer. I might be able to discover a way to lock it back in, but have not taken the time to examine the mechanism yet. UPDATE #2 9-2018: The adjustment problem has now reach its ultimate end. The hinge on bottom has basically disintegrated. Now, when I put batteries in and tighten the screw, the bottom hinge pops loose. The product is no longer usable. The hinge is just cheap plastic, that is a shame, I kind of expected better from nightstick. However, it still seems to be the best option vs. price available so I am planning to order it again. Hope I can get 3 years of intermittent use out of the next one. I do really like it when it is working...lite and bright.

I’ve had one for several years used to get to my deer stand. One of the ears eventually wore out and broke so this year I bought another. Great light and heavy duty. This one has rubber and cloth band. Well recommended to outdoor enthusiasts so want a great head lamp

Everything is fine, the flashlight works. It’s good that there are batteries included. For my work, the most necessary headlamp for its protection.

Light is simple to operate and well constructed. On-bright, on-dim, off. Includes fabric strap for head use, appreciated. Case is thick with positive, no-nonsense angle adjustment that feels very robust. Overall brightness is a bit dimmer than I've had with other lights but acceptable. Beam pattern is very uniform.

The battery compartment does not securely seal the battery compartment when NiMH batteries are inserted. Brighter than I expected. Dec. 17 2021. Practice makes all the difference. If the battery cover is deliberately closed with the left-hand thumb & middle-finger -- the light face pressing into the palm, the screw will hold it securely against water and presumably, vapors with no risk of stripping out the threads.

Nice and bright easy-to-use and powerful enough to use like a spot light while working in the oil field

I use this item at work. I have one on my face shield. This product is extremely durable and the anti slip head band is nice. It's bright and goes more than all day on it's 3 aaa batteries

The on off switch is so pronounced in its mechanism, that I never leave the bulb on after use. I take it off and on, every 10-15 minutes, for my job, and intrinsic safety was a must. Works perfectly.

I'm a fuel hauler, this makes my nights a lot brighter, good quality light and with the rubber headband on my hard hat it doesn't move, Highly Recommend!!!

Great headlamp for work, light shines very far and bright

I work in the oil and gas industry and needed a quality product. This by far exceeded my expectations. Very happy with this purchase. Update: Worked flawlessly for 7 years. Light just recently started to dim, still works but not adequately for what I need. Purchased another for almost 1/2 of what I paid in 2017. Great bang for the buck!
