How do you turn it off. Do you have to unplugged it after each use? How much water does it take, didn’t see a water level on the inside where the pump

You need to unplug from the outlet, so be careful where you use it. Fill about 3/4 with water.

Should I worry about splash out water?

Adjust the placement of the stones, and the water should submerge the pump, usually without splashing.

Can you turn the light off?

There is no switch for the light itself, but you can put a little rock over it. You can also adjust the rocks to make more or less sound. My cats use the fountain to drink out of! Been working well for months now.

My water flow is awfully loud. I've tried adjusting water levels to no avail and moving stones around to no avail. How can I make it slower/quieter?

Mine was loud and fast at first as well. It gets quieter over time, I put a small rock in the top basin and a bigger rock on top of that. Seemed to work swell.
