Worth every penny. We use ours several times a week. Will last you years!
We've loved this pasta strainer so much that we've actually ordered it as a gift for others. The one we bought is now at least 4 years old and it's as functional now as it was when it was new. It's a perfect sized to easily cook an entire box of pasta (any variety) and it is very well constructed and durable. The handles don't heat up at all, so there's no need to use oven mitts etc. It's nonstick surface works like a charm, has not worn off at all, and I've used this to make batches of soup, chili, boil potatoes and more, always without a problem. It heats up quickly and is very conductive. The lid fits perfectly, but comes off without much effort and the entire set up is dishwasher safe! I absolutely recommend this product, particularly if you can get it for under thirty dollars. If you're on the fence on this product, definitely buy it. You won't at all be disappointed.

Very very nice pasta pot!
When my husband and I got married 21 plus years ago we were gifted a pasta pot with a strainer in the lid. It had a non-stick coating, so as everyone knows that is no longer safe, and that pot has been used beyond its life expectancy. I researched and price checked all of the different pots and found this one. So so glad I did! It is the perfect size being 6 quarts to fix the perfect amount of pasta for my family. It is well made feeling extremely durable with sides that are thick enough. It has a heavy duty weight to it but it is not too heavy. It is very easy to clean and since this dishwasher safe it makes it even easier. It is easy to put the lid on and strain your pasta. I also love the oval shape of it where you're less likely to have to break your pasta. Drop it in the middle and it is in the hot water in no time. Great buy and I highly recommend!

• Bialetti pots simplify the pasta preparation process
Cooking pasta or noodles should not be a chore, and this pot simplifies the process. This pot comes in a variety of colors that would match most kitchen decors. I chose red because it is attractive color for a pot (see photos). The material is lightweight and has a non-stick interior that facilitates a quick cleaning after use. The top quickly screws on-and-off with a quick quarter turn. The vented top allows you to quickly drain the cooked pasta and noodles without concern about losing some down the sink drain. The pot is also useful for preparing homemade soups when a non-stick pot is desirable. The vented top can be kept on while cooking to decrease cooking time, and this feature reduces the likelihood of an accidental boil over. I’ve discovered that the non-stick interior will require additional cooking time for pasta and noodles. When preparing these, add on a few minutes to the cooking time to get it “just right.”

My dream pasta pot!
I had seen someone cooking with this pot in a recipe video, and was determined to find it on Amazon, and I did. I really love the concept and used mine for the first time last night in boiling 1.5 one-pound boxes of thin spaghetti noodles. Truthfully, at first I was skeptical that I could fit that much spaghetti in the 5-quart pot along with the water, but after doing so, I realized I could have cooked 2 full one-pound boxes of thin spaghetti at the same time, which pleased me. And I noted that the pasta didn't even foam up or boil over! The pot cleaned up easily, and water appears to bead up on its surface. If I have any complaint about my particular pot and lid (may not be true for others), it's that the lid doesn't seem to fully close when twisted onto the pot for draining the pasta--it becomes too tight too quickly. Still, that didn't prevent me from using the pot as designed. Highly recommend this pasta pot. Let my find be your find! I love that I don't have to use a separate strainer for my pasta! One pot and lid does it all! And I think it's a "cute" pot!

Not the highest quality pasta pot but the most functional for me
My boyfriend purchased this exact pasta pot in red at a local sale for only ten dollars and I was so jealous. I knew all its quirks and had tried other pasta pots before including cooking with his. However, even though this is not high end, it is the most functional pasta pot I have ever had the pleasure to use. I purchased this on Amazon at the current price of $34.99 plus tax, which is competitively priced. Below are the positives and negatives. POSITIVES - The pot is lightweight and non-stick. - The handles and oblong shape keep the hot water and steam away from my hands. I do not even need a potholder to dump the water. - Pasta can be drained directly from the pot. - There is a slight lip or pour spout on either side that allows water to be drained from the front of the rippled lid and from the lid holes. - The oblong shape allows me to put in linguine and other long pasta into the pot whole. Some pastas may be cut longer. In that case, the pasta will sit mostly in the water to start and then immediately cook down and fall into the pot. - Heat resistant silicone or wooden utensils can be used to stir the pasta. - It comes with a 5-year warranty from manufacturing defects. NEGATIVES - The top is a bit difficult to get on and off. - The top also doesn't always sit even with the rim of the pot unless one forces it closed with strength, like I did in my photo on the stove. - This pot is not high-end and may dent and scratch easily. Although I prefer stainless steel, it is not non-stick and those pots tend to get hot. Bialetti does make this pot in stainless steel but I prefer this one. - Metal or other sharp utensils cannot be used to stir the pasta water--only heat-resistant silicone and wooden implements should be used. In summary, I love this pasta pot. Although, I personally prefer high-end pots and pans like All-Clad, Caraway, or Demeyere, none of the stainless steel draining lid pasta pots like this one are as functional (and safe for me) as this low-end Bialetti. It is a solid 4-star pot and perfect for my needs. I also love the teal color as it matches my kitchen.

It's one of my favorite pots. It's a keeper!
This replaced a previous nonstick Bialetti we had for over 10 years. The old one was showing it's age, plus, through attrition, we are replacing our old nonstick cookware with stainless steel. This pot is the same in about every dimension as the older even though it claims to hold more. It's not a concern. I'm just happy I could replace my beloved pot with an identical but better one. There is a thicker plate on the bottom. allowing this pot to retain heat better than the colorful nonstick counterpart. The grooves on the lid are a little more pronunced and a smidgen smaller; a good thing. Spaghetti noodles no longer slip out through the lid when draining water. The pot has an indentation by the handle that helps secure the lid. A picture was posted showing some sort of rust in the interior bottom of the pot and consequently was given a poor review. Mine also came with what looked like oily rust spots inside. I attribute it to the manufacturing process, and yes, it shouldn't ship that way. I used a soft sponge with a powdered stainless steel sink cleanser, for which I am a long time user. It's readily available from any big box hardware and/grocery store. It made short work of the spots and residue, and had the interior gleaming. Don't use this or anything else abrasive on the outside, lest you scratch the brilliant finish. We've cooked many meals in this pot, care for it as the instructions suggest, and have ZERO rust showing anywhere on it. I placed a neodymium magnet on the pot. These magnets are extremely powerful. It barely hangs on to anywhere on the pot with the exception of the outside bottom, and the handle rivets. This tells me it's a good stainless steel product. If it were aluminum, the magnet wouldnt stick at all. Overall, the versatility, quality, and the size has made this my favorite "go to" pot. For me, it's worth every penny. As much as I like the color selection of the less expensive similar nonstick versions of this pot, I'm never looking back. It's a keeper!

“A Stylish and Functional Cookware Set for Everyday Cooking”
I recently got my hands on the Bialetti Taste of Italy Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set, and it’s quickly become a staple in my kitchen. This set promises Italian-inspired design with practical performance, and for the most part, it delivers—perfect for home cooks who want quality without overcomplicating things. Quality and Build: The first thing you notice is the sleek, modern look—matte black finish with a subtle texture that feels upscale. The pans are lightweight yet sturdy, made from aluminum with a solid nonstick coating inside. The handles are comfy and stay cool during use, which is a big plus for stovetop maneuvering. The glass lids fit snugly and let you peek at your food without lifting, though they’re not as heavy-duty as some premium brands. Overall, it’s a well-crafted set that feels good to use. Performance: The nonstick surface is a winner—eggs slide off with zero effort, and sautéing veggies or searing chicken has been a breeze with minimal oil. Heat distribution is impressively even; I’ve had no hot spots on my gas stove, and everything cooks consistently. The set includes a nice variety—8” and 10” fry pans, 1.5qt and 2.5qt saucepans, a 5qt Dutch oven, plus a bonus 10” sauté pan—all with lids where it counts. Cleanup is as easy as advertised; a quick wipe or light scrub does the trick, though I’d avoid dishwashers to preserve the coating. Value for Money: For a 10-piece set at this price, it’s a fantastic deal. You’re getting versatile sizes and a cohesive look that rivals pricier brands like Calphalon or T-fal, but without the hefty tag. It’s not pro-chef grade, but for everyday meals—think pasta, stir-fries, or soups—it’s more than up to the task. The bonus sauté pan feels like a thoughtful extra that adds real utility. Minor Notes: The nonstick coating is great but feels like it’ll need gentle care—no metal utensils or high heat abuse if you want it to last. The lids can get steamy without a vent, so expect some condensation buildup during long simmers. Also, it’s marketed as “Taste of Italy,” but don’t expect artisanal vibes—it’s more about style than heritage. Check compatibility if you’ve got induction; this set works best on gas or electric. Overall: The Bialetti Taste of Italy set is a practical, eye-catching addition to any kitchen. It’s not flawless, but it nails the basics with flair and affordability. Whether you’re a beginner cook or just need a reliable refresh, this set brings solid performance and a touch of class to the table. 5 stars for balancing quality, price, and style!

The best pasta pot I have ever had
Best pasta pot I have ever used. I had the non stick version in black for many years but changed to induction and the coated version ( aluminum) dies not work with induction. I got the stainless steel version on sale at Amazon . It is great . Heavier and very well built . Happy to be able to use the bialetti pasta pot with my induction stove . A must have . It locks perfectly , very easy to use .

Stupenda invenzione. Ecco perché ho dato 5 stelle.

Great pasta pot!
I bought this pot to replace my old pasta pot that was Teflon coated aluminum. It is a nice heavy weight and very easy to clean. Being completely made of stainless steel, I could easily use it in my oven as well. The lid was stiff to lock initially but has loosened up enough that it’s easy to lock. My old pot also had a locking lid which is a great safety feature. Overall, a wonderful pot!
