Lutein and Zeaxanthin have been shown to help maintain macular health. This product supplies these key ingredients. Additionally, there are a number of vitamins and minerals that have been found to be beneficial for macular and eye health (see AREDS and AREDS2). This product has a couple of these too, but not the whole set. I take a product that has the combination of supplements in AREDS2. And, I would add this product to get an additional dose. Although many products may include these ingredients, this product has the quality assurance certifications, by the supplier, that you should always require before buying a supplement - GMP and 3rd party testing.

Highly concentrated pills of bilberry. Good quality and long expiry date -- three years from now. They are capsules and not tablets, and capsules are better for absorption. My eyes feel less dry after taking them.

Well I cannot speak to the long-term effects of these gel caps, I can give you my initial impression. The capsules have absolutely no odor or taste, and they are very easy to swallow. I have been taking them for about 2 weeks with no problems so far. They appear to be a good quality item

Contains the NATURAL form of Vitamin E not the synthetic. That impressed me. Has a nice, long expiration date. Did take a long time to arrive though.
