This review is for Lexelium's "Weight Gainer Supplement for Dogs & Cats - Muscle Building & Appetite Stimulation - 100% Natural Pet Supplement to Add Weight & Increase Immunity in Puppies and Kittens -200g" I initially purchased this to help my oldest senior kitty (16yrs old) gain back some weight after this little rascal (pic 1) gave all my 4 other cats coccidia 🥴 My oldest is a picky eater but he absolutely loved this! I mixed it in with their wet food initially but they also all ate it readily when I sprinkled it on top of their kibble. I was iffy about that since it was powdery and didn't look appealing to me in the slightest haha I was worried it would be too dry and too weird of a texture for them to accept but they all ate it enthusiastically. It easily incorporated into the wet food without any clumping Not recommended to leave your cat alone with it unattended, it turned my cute innocent little kitten into a raging fiend 🤣🤣🤣 I honestly didn't think this powder had any scent at all but it must have something delicious in there bc the very first time I opened the bag, my 5wk old kitten ran over like he had never eaten a darn thing in his entire life, leaped up and grabbed the bag w both paws, then stuffed his whole little face into it. These hilarious pictures were once I managed to get him outta there and he absconded away to his actual food before I could clean him up 😂 It did help my oldest cat feel better after a few weeks. It is ok for kittens to have too, kitten just wasn't the intended recipient at the time in my household lol. He gets some every now and then in his food. Do note that the manufacturer recommends a couple weeks break in between if you're using this daily for while, which is common with supplements 10/10 recommend (open the bag in private though! 😆)

We had a cat loose a lot of weight due to the passing of his mate and the change in pride heirachy. He quit eating. I thought we would lose him. We saw this product and was immediately drawn to the claims of an all natural product to stimulate appetite and put weight back on. A bit pricey, but not really. A little goes a long way, and it worked! Within a week of starting to use this he went from eating 1 tsp of food to 1/4 can twice a day. 3 weeks later, he's up to almost 1.5 cans a day and he's putting on weight and acting normal again. This stuff saved my cat's life. Update: Now my cat is eating almost 2 full cans a day. He's still thin, but maintaining his weight and has returned to his "normal" self. Taking him to vet for further diagnosis but this product is truly remarkable and a vital part of our treatment plan. Last Update: Our beloved pet had to be euthanized not long after I wrote this review. He was in complete organ failure. I can't stress enough, even though this product works as directed, seek medical attention for your pet to make sure there is no underlying cause for loss of appetite and weight.

The weight gainer is helpful for my almost 20 year old cat. However, the last order they sent me the vision support instead. Unable to return. I'll have to reorder the correct item because my cat does need it and it helped save her life a couple years ago.

I purchased this for my dog that has CHF. I purchased it for the appetite stimulate/weight gainer. I do feel the product did put some weight back on her. But I feel this brands appetite stimulate did not work well to me not like the Tomlyn brand with that one I could really tell but it's not economical as it comes in a toothpaste size tube. That was the reason for the purchase of this one. I will purchase this again but will have to use with the Tomlyn brand as well.

I purchased this to help her gain weight and when the powder was on her hood, she LOST weight instead of gaining! An expensive waste of money! Due to the fact this made her lose weight and took her appetite away, I believe a refund is due for good customer service!

My darling kitten was diagnosed with wet FIP-- an incurable and fatal condition that should have killed her over a month ago. Instead of dying, she's come back to life. She's hilarious, energetic, sassy, and affectionate. In the past two weeks, she went from glassy-eyed and vacant to bright and alive. She's eating, drinking, voiding normally, and is still completely herself. I mix this with another high-calorie supplement (Oxbow Carnivore Care, AMAZING stuff with a taste she loves), some of her high-quality wet food, ionic silver, and a powdered vitamin/probiotic formulated for kitties. She's motivated to eat and is even eating her hard food in addition to this. (I'm also giving her turmeric in fish oil as well as CBD oil, but I give those separately.) I don't think she cares one way or the other about the flavor of this stuff, which is a good thing because she's very picky. This is one of TWO high-calorie supplements I could find that didn't have corn syrup/malt syrup listed as the first two ingredients. (Seriously?!?) And it's helping me to save her, or at the very least to provide her with a high quality of life way beyond when she was supposed to live. Giving a sick animal (or person) high-quality nutrition and the motivation to eat is the greatest gift you can give and is the best chance at health. I'm delighted that I found this stuff.

I recently adopted a 10-12 year old street dog from Tijuana. She came to the rescue very malnourished and had a hard time putting on weight. When I put her on this supplement it was a game changer. Her appetite increased, her pickiness decreased and she started gaining! I'm so thrilled to have found this product, and although it's a little pricey for the small bag, it's definitely worth it to nourish your underweight pup or maintain a healthy weight for athlete dogs.
