I really wanted this to be the answer to my automatic dog watering, but it's not. No previous reviews but it sounded like the cat's meow of waterers AND was more expensive then others. I was determined to make it work with the metal line provided, but it wasn't long enough. $30 later with extra fittings, I made it longer. I had to buy extra fittings for the float assembly where it goes through the metal bowl as well. Metal and brass fittings are not cheap, so I have an extra $45 in this thing above the price of the bowl $58.87. I'm scared to leave it unattended, so it's literally a glorified dog water bowl that I refill every day. Oh, and it has to be attached to a wall or a board or fence or something and the "bolts" they provide don't really fit anything, so the board I have it attached to is just so it doesn't get turned over and is very loose/wobbly. It's just not a good design overall IMO.
