What I was expecting from Levis
These are what I was expecting from Levis - good fit, correct colour, and decent hardwearing denim. It's great to be able to get a 33 inch waste, which isn't available on every brand of jeans.

Be warned before buying!
Firstly, let me warn you that if you purchase this item? it will be delivered in a clear bag showing what's inside! I purchased these classic 501's as part of my Husbands 'Classic's' birthday gift. When the courier knocked on the door to deliver said parcel, my Husband answered the door and was presented with his gift in a CLEAR bag .......Birthday Surprise ruined! (Angry much!). Now for the product: As described, good price, fast delivery , a classic pair of Levi's .....sadly let down by delivery in a CLEAR bag!!!!

OK but don't live up to the hype
In my own opinion they don’t live up to the hype. I have for the last twenty or more years only worn Wrangler jeans, but with these being nearly half price in the ‘Black Friday’ sale I thought I’d grab a pair of these ‘classic’ 501s for a change. I usually take a 31W/32L with regards the Wrangler jeans, but decided upon a 32W/32L for the Levi’s. The waist was just right but the length is excessively long. As for the general fit its okay, but the fabric doesn’t hang straight throughout the leg and feels a little twisted. No double hemmed stitching as on the Wranglers either on the hem or outside leg giving them a less rugged feel and a more tailored appearance [again something I am less enamoured by]. And only 5 belt loops rather than the 7 that are common on Wranglers. Okay in general though I shall have to take up the leg at least an inch or two. Probably won’t be my everyday go to pair of jeans. As for colourfastness, for which my Wranglers do not hold for very long, I cannot comment having only recently made the purchase. But overall Levi’s 501s don’t live up to the hype.
