LOVE IT... ❤️ Definitely get this pen. NOT some Mont-blanc from India thing
Actually ordered like 4 of these so far.The nib that comes with it may be steele however it does look better than getting the 14k just for being gold 165.00 pen this then becomes heart jb f or standard are both so plain. No design like the steele and like one review said. Is the writing difference, worth the extra 165.00 price difference... so trying these first. At #8 nib size, being an assembly; not just the nib. I see no options for Amy other nib yet either especially not something like a flex nib ultra zebra g nothing not a size #6 for flex and or ebonite feeds. But also so much like the Mont Blanc 149 I just had to try it... Using Mon français Pearle noir; and Pelican 4001 inks. Now to find the right paper. Also ... I love to write in an 1560 Geneva Latin letter switching type of font. So a fountain pen is all that will do for that. Ball point is miserable. Since you would have to draw open lines, then colour the wide parts in.No matter what quality is. You need a fountain pen for this... Also my favorite line from Derry Girls in Ireland. Where's my pen? Here... A Ball point. I can't wite with a Ball point. That's like asking Van Gogh to paint with a trowel... love it, so very true.

A Great Writing Pen
At first glance this is just another large cigar-shaped pen, but it exceeds expectations and stands apart from the usual crowd. The fit and finish of the pen are quite nice, and the detailing on the large number 8 nib is well done. The piston ink-filling system is smooth and capable of holding a lot of ink. There is a large window for monitoring the remaining ink level. The ink window is completely hidden when the pen is capped. When writing the cap can be posted without imbalancing the pen, but posting is not required for holding comfortably in your hand. The cap unscrews in about a turn and a quarter. The pen has a medium steel nib which is smooth and a bit more springy than I expected. An unexpected bonus is the piston wrench included in the box, which helps with thoroughly cleaning the pen. With the available range of pen colors and nib sizes you can afford to buy several to match your writing needs.

Among my favorite pens
The Junlai (Wingsung, Yongshen, etc) 630 pens are among the best Chinese made pens I've come across. For the price, these pens are amazing. I loved the first one I got so much that I had to come back and get them in other colors. I have 3 so far and all of them have been very solid. The large #8 nibs are very smooth and nice and juicy. All 3 have been very solid. I wish they had a broader range of colors; I'd probably get them in every color. I know at this price point, you can worry about quality control and it's a very valid concern as I've bought other chinese fountain pens where the QC just hasn't been great, they are so cheap, you can almost consider them disposable. But after having bought 3 of these so far, all 3 have been of excellent quality so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.NOTE! Just be aware these are piston fillers. These do not work with cartridges or converters. You will need a bottle of fountain pen ink to use this pen which is not included. These pens do not come with ink.

Best MB159 alternative I have seen under $300
Best Chinese large nib piston filler I have found. Ink flow is excellent and nibsize workable. Ink windows is a nice touch in the ribbed version. The flexibility and feedback of this nib makes you wonder why people say 14k nibs are worth the money. If you want to pay 10x for that 1% better gold nib experience...well ok. Fit and finish on the pen is fantastic for the $. The contrast between the two tone nib finishes is a bit dim, but scrollwork is top notch given the price point.

Almost a Montblanc 149? Maybe not but a terrific fountain pen!
This fountain pen is a delight..... and supported by superb service and value. Thank you so much.More or less a copy of the Montblanc 149 it doesn't have the same luxurious feel and the nib isn't gold but buy one! You'll really enjoy a classy writing experience in a pen that might become your daily carry - which the 149 isn't because, were I to lose it, a replacement would be around 800 pounds sterling.Be careful when you first take it out of the box. It's so shiny and slippery but after 2 days' writing that clean finish will lessen and it becomes totally normal to the touch and very comfortable.

Nib problems, hard starts
Unpacking the pen is not bad, for what you pay it's not a bad proposition but I was not expecting to do much other than ink up and writing. However once I got the pen out of the box the piston was not aligned for max fill. This was my first piston filler I had to align, other name brands ive purchased twsbi and lamy have worked out of the box without needing alignment. When I disassembled the pen to get the piston knob at the right point I found some junk on the piston seal, seemed like some sort of fuzz or dust that made it's way in during assembly. I pulled it away and that was that. The pen hard starts nearly every time I am not writing continuously. The first 5mm or so of travel the pen does not put ink down. Sometimes between words it will loose ink at the tip and hardstart again.See photos of my writing sample. The first stroke of The J and many Ts are half there. On the one minute uncapped test, it inked when I got halfway. I'm sure a nib swap or adjustment would solve it, but a little dissapointing when you want a reliable writer. It's certainly nicer looking than many budget FPs from brand names at this price point but reliability is questionable. I think if it can write reliably it is worth it over say a twsbi eco if you want a nice looking pen. Honestly though I'd have a hard time recommending this pen to non FP enthusiasts because it takes some work out of the box.

Great for &40
Super smooth, nice pen. It writes way too wet but hey looks just like a MB and gives you an idea of the 149 size. Great for the price.
