Perfect for your everyday brew with a smoothness that perks up any morning
Buy this if you want a reliable, smooth everyday coffee with minimal fuss. Skip it if you chase complex, fruity light roasts or brew exclusively with high-end manual methods. After a few weeks of regular use, this coffee proves why it’s a staple. Flavor-wise, it’s balanced and predictable: mild chocolate, toasted bread, and a light nutty finish. No sharp acidity, no bitterness unless you over-extract. It’s forgiving, which makes it good for busy mornings. The metal tin is airtight and genuinely useful. It keeps the coffee fresher than standard bags and reseals properly without clips or extra containers. Aroma holds up well for a couple of weeks once opened, assuming you’re not leaving it near heat or light. This isn’t a specialty coffee and doesn’t pretend to be. You won’t get bright fruit notes or origin character. What you do get is consistency across brews and batches, which is exactly the point. Pros Consistent grind and flavor Low acidity, easy to drink Works well for moka pot and espresso-style brews Proper airtight metal tin Cons Limited complexity Not ideal for light-roast fans Pricier than supermarket alternatives

Cerrado Mineiro single origin coffee beans produce a very pleasant rich aromatic coffee.
Back in the day, I was never that impressed with Illy classic roast beans for the price. And the tin seemed a bit OTT. But nowadays it makes sense as the steel tin is, after all, much more likely to be recycled that aluminised plastic bags that most other coffee beans are packed in nowadays. Similarly, the shift to responsibly grown single origin and regional speciality beans has changed my view. These Cerrado Mineiro single origin coffee beans produce a very pleasant rich aromatic coffee. They make excellent espresso, once you dial in the grind. The caffeine is moderate as you would expect from pure arrabica beans but the flavour is rich. It has low acidity, good organoleptics and creama. It leaves a chocolate aftertaste with no bitterness. Very enjoyable. And these beans came with a sizeable discount. Hence five stars.

Lovely beans, creamy taste and not too strong. Abit pricey for the amount but i seem to keep buying so must be good.

Good taste
A Very nice coffee, his brand used to be a bit pricey, buit now much more competative, especially on the subscription basis. I like to order enough so that I interchange with another coffee to keep things interesting, and to avoid having a 1kg bag going stale. A full time just fits my Sage Oracle machine nicely. I like the blend plenty of taste, but not overpowering, nice balance of flavour vs sharpness. Haven't really had a chance to test out shelf life, but plenty of date on the cans that have arrived, and the whole point of the can is to keep the coffee in top condition. I have had a few of the pull tabs for the sealed can come off in my hand, but it has always started to open, so a moment with a fork handle levers it out no problem.

Tasty & Well Priced
I love this coffee and it’s always at the best price around from Amazon. Makes a lovely espresso based coffee. (Gaggia Brera Bean To Cup)

An OK taste but too finely ground for cafetière use.
Bought because my wife had purchased some when away on a course and self catering. She liked it. I don’t! It is an OK taste but you can do better and it is quite. expensive. Also, it is finely ground and using a cafetière it can clog and / or penetrate through the mesh of the plunger. This results in quite a “powdery” cup of coffee.
