Really Nice Weather Station Unit
My old weather station finally gave up the ghost so I needed to order another one. After looking at several different units and reading the customer reviews I decided upon this model and I am convinced I made a good choice. The unit is very easy to set up and install and it works great. The sensor unit is very easy to install on the outside of your home using and the main screen is large enough to see all the displayed information clearly but yet it's small enough to fit nicely on the night stand in my bedroom. The main display panel is very nicely organized, displays the information clearly, has a host of control buttons on the side of the panel that allows you to control and program the functions of the unit and the color display is really nice and very effective in making the data easy to see. The sensor uses 2 AA batteries and the main display screen has a plug in chord for main power as well as accepting 2 AA batteries as a backup power source. You can use it with just the batteries if you wish to but in this mode the main screen operates at "low" light intensity level. With the power chord the screen stays fully lit up, although you can adjust this setting and lower the lighting level from "high" to "low". At the "Low" setting you can still easily see the data but it won't light up your bedroom at night when your sleeping. I haven't used the "frost" alarm or "temp" alarm as I have no need for this but if you want to you can set both of those and the unit will give off an alarm if the temp settings you programmed in are reached. The barometric pressure, the moon phase, the actual inside and outside temperature is very accurate (I compared them to other sensors that I have). It comes with 1 outside sensor but if you can order and use up to 2 more sensors for a total of 3 sensors. I have no need of another sensor but that is a nice feature to have available. I really like this unit and am very impressed with it's function, appearance and performance.

Easy to setup and read. High quality weather station.
We live in the far Northern part of the midwest, and with all the terrible weather going on around the country, it seemed like I was always looking for my phone to check the weather conditions. I decided to look for a weather station for the house that would display the current temp outside along with humidity. I was looking for something easy to set up that would sit on a countertop and give us the weather stats whenever we wanted them. I liked this unit because: - It has a big display which makes it easy to read from a distance. - You can add batteries (not supplied) for backup and it plugs into a normal AC outlet for normal operation - Very easy to set up. I took it out of the box, read the directions (which seemed easy to understand), plugged it in, and it began searching for one of its programmed sources of weather information. Bingo! Found a source and started displaying the weather conditions for my location. - It also displays the current time and date which I did not have to set up. - I like the display which shows both outside weather conditions and inside temp/humidity. It is colorful and looks great sitting on our countertop. My only other comment involves the wireless sensor that you place somewhere outside your house. It also has a display that shows the outside temp and humidity. Not sure why you need a display on the outside sensor, since it will probably be located someplace that might not be readily accessible. I have mine in a shady spot off the front porch under an eve so that I can't just go outside and look at the display which is small enough that you have to be fairly close to read it. So, I guess it is a nice to have but not necessary depending on where you install the sensor. After using this for a week, I have no complaints. It works great, agrees pretty closely with our local TV weather, and was reasonable in cost. Update: I have to change my rating slightly. I have had this weather station for a while now and it is still a nice device. But I live in far North of Illinois, so Winter gets pretty cold up here. We have had a nice warm streak but recently the temperature has gotten down into the low 20's and high teens and the cold has caused an issue with the remote sensor. At around 20 degrees outside, the inside base station lost the remote signal and was just displaying - - for the outside temp and humidity. I thought maybe the battery on the remote unit was low, so I put a new battery in it. But still the base could not find the remote sensor and just displayed the - - where the readings were supposed to be. I tried resetting the base by taking out it's backup battery and unplugging it. Then putting the batteries back and plugging it in. No dice. So, I brought the remote sensor into the house and set it next to the base station and waited. After about 10 minutes, the remote warmed up and the base unit picked up the remote's signal and started working again. I tried putting the remote back outside in the cold and the same thing happened. After about a half hour outside, the remote's signal quit and the inside base station was again displaying - - for the temp and humidity. So, this time, I brought it back in, waited for the signal to return from the remote, and put the remote out in the garage where it stays warmer - no lower than 30 degrees. And the base and remote have worked fine since. When it warms up outside, I will put the sensor back out. But fair warning - It appears that this unit is sensitive to cold temps and, at least my remote, quit working when the temp gets around 20 degrees and below. So, if you live further South where the temps don't get so cold, this unit should work fine for you. This product has amazing distance when the remote is working. I have a brick house and the base unit is on the East side of the house next to the far wall. The garage is on the west side of the house and the remote signal has to travel through a brick wall, go outside, and travel through another brick wall to get to the base. And since I put the remote in the warmer garage for now, it works fine. I like the quality of the unit - feels like it is worth the money. And the display is colorful and you can set how bright you want it to be. If it wasn't for the cold weather issue, it would definitely still be a 5-star review. Update on 12/13/24: I contacted the seller regarding my issue with the remote not working in very cold temperatures and the seller got right back to me. They are very easy to work with and solved my issue by sending me a new remote at no cost. I also didn't have to return the old remote that had issues in cold temps. The new remote works great in our very cold weather right now! I am including a photo showing that the remote is working fine sitting outside in 9 degree (F) weather. Earlier this morning, it was only 1 degree (F) showing on the base and it was up to 9 degrees when I took the picture. The seller was very gracious and I got the replacement remote in just a few days. It works great and I am a happy buyer and would definitely recommend buying any product that the seller has on the Amazon store.

Works nice, lots of information.
It's nice, lots of info, seems accurate. One drawback is, it has to be at the precise angle to be able to fully see the screen. Otherwise its too dark. Like when you look at a big screen TV from the side. Temp is easy to see, but under that in blue is humidity inside and out, that's impossible to see unless you walk right up.

AS GOOD AS THE NAME-BRAND STATIONS FOR CHEAP
Fantastic product. No need to go with the more expensive name brands. Works as well as the others do and is accurate (I've tested it with a Mercury thermometer and also had all three of my sensors in the same room for 24 hours and they all provide the same temperature and humidity). My favorite part about this is the barometric graph, which will after a few days calibrate and measure trends between your outdoor sensors (you can have up to three, plus the indoor one for a technical total of 4) and predict the weather based off of changes in pressure. The atomic clock is also fantastic, it will adjust to the radio signal coming out of Colorado (the same radio signal that NASA uses to synchronize launches and orbits, and also the same signal all of our nuclear missiles use so that they can all get launched at the same time!), so when civilization collapses in the next few years you'll still be able to tell time and predict the weather (*It does NOT tell radiation levels although that would be a handy feature for the next model)! It even has an alarm feature so you could use it as a clock right next to your bed. It's a bit bright for me for that, although it does come with a handy brightness adjustment feature but that's not quick to operate so for now it stays in my living room. I purchased two more sensors, although the directions were a bit confusing (Google Translate from Mandarin to English NOT FTW, lol) as to how they work but all I had to do was open the back and put the batteries in and choose what channel I wanted (you can choose one through three, being that you can have up to three external sensors) each to be on, and then I shut the case and in about 10 to 15 minutes the device will automatically sync to the new sensors on their respective channels. I don't usually write reviews but this is a great product and I'm really pleased with it. The outdoor sensors could probably be a bit more robust but place them out of the sun and out of the elements (which is where you should be placing any kind of weather sensor anyways) they should last for a long time. Mine have performed flawlessly since March. They will throw odd humidity measurements for a few days if they get wet in rain, and even though they have always eventually returned to normal after drying, I'd advise placing them in areas that are generally free of driving rain. Seriously buy this product. Has all the information you want and does not cost an arm and a leg like the other brands. NOTE: It only comes with ONE remote sensor. You'll have to buy the additional 2 if you want multiple readings, although I only did because I'm a massive weather dweeb and love data. The single remote sensor, if it's placed in a shaded, covered area outside within 100-ish feet (the directions say the range is up to 300ish feet but I doubt it, although I haven't tested that and honestly with how amazing the rest of the product has been it might actually be true) will more than suffice for most casual users who just want to see how they'll have to dress to go outside. Anyhow, it's a great product. No one paid me to write this, I wish they had, I just legitimately like this product.

Love the bright graphics and accuracy
Excellent weather station. Loved it so much we bought a second one for my In Laws who are near 90 years old. They love the nice clear display they can see from anywhere in the room. The barametric pressure forecast is amazingly accurate. Super easy to read and understand with a right side and a left side. Perfect!! The remote sensor is durable with its own digital screen and no problem with the distance reach. A great product for the price

Definitely could be better
Where to start. Biggest disappointment seems to be accuracy. This thing can be fairly accurate one moment and ridiculous the next. I can walk from outside my garage that is warm, to inside which is obviously a sauna, only to see that it reads inaccurate. The remote sensor has some small holes that evidently measure air temp and humidity. From what I gather, they are kept small and few as to avoid issues of it becoming damaged because of weather intrusion. I assume this to be the same for the base as well, though it does have more openings. It appears that both these pieces are more accurate if they are placed in a will ventilated area or out in the open. The remote sensor seems to work more consistently sitting out in the open then it does against the wall 1 foot underneath an overhang. Two obvious problems with the is, rain and direct sunlight. Even the surface you mount it to can affect the accuracy just by how it radiates heat. I have a smaller temp/humidity gauge in the garage and these two are rarely the same or even close. I wouldn’t even really mind as long as it’s consistent off by the same amount of degrees. The other issue I have is the slanted back. I have mine mounted on a garage wall near a cabinet about eye height (also feel this might be contributing to inaccuracy because the lack of air flowing about the sensors). When this is tilted, it can reduce the ability to see the screen clearly. I currently have a larger screw that protrudes from wall enough to allow it to hang vertically level. There is only one key hole to mount it, thus it lets it swing to either side. Having the power cord on one side causes it to weigh it unevenly thus tilting it. The power cord isn't that long, so unless you have an outlet really close, the power adapter at the end will just be dangling making it worse. Wish it would have had a flat back with at least 2 key holes to mount it. I had no issues with it connecting remote sensor to base or with time setting accurately. You can see the screen clearly at most angles but it does have its limits and is worse at certain angles. It appeared to me that when sitting on a table, you could stand above it looking downward and it would be pretty clear. However when at eye level, tilting it back just a small amount made it difficult, thus the issue with the slanted back. It was very easy to set up and use the function buttons. I liked that these were on the side because I saw quite a few other brands that were on the back. Fine if it’s sitting on a table or night stand but not so much hanging on the wall. For my use I would have liked them on the face. I thought the color screen was appealing vs a mono tone variation. I bought this because my clock quit working. I also wanted to monitor the temp and humidity outside which my current model was not able to remotely do. I paint and do different task in my garage that benefits from knowing the actual temp and humidity. It’s also important to know what it’s like outside as well If I need to open the garage door. Outside condition can quickly change inside conditions if not monitored. Only needed the clock, temp / humidity reading inside and out and easy to read at a glance. For the most part it does that. Price is better than most big box stores I looked at. However it needs to be accurate, or at least consistent to be of any use. This may be going back.

So far, so good...
I say, "So far, so good", but I just set it up, so... :) ***The Good*** As soon as I unboxed it, I was impressed by it, it was larger than I had imagined. Immediately I placed the batteries inside both the indoor and outdoor compartments, then the fireworks began, well, I mean, the REALLY PRETTY COLORS came on! I like the fact that the numbers and letters on it are large, it makes it REALLY EASY to see! Very nice, especially when compared to my older one (different brand) that I used since 2016, it finally gave up the ghost. It didn't take any time at all for it to recognize the outdoor sensor, on my old one, it took several minutes, so technology is a good thing. It looks like a computer monitor screen, it looks REALLY NICE! _________________________________________________ ***The 'Not So Good'*** (But not really, 'bad') (1) When hanging by a screw that I have in the wall, the inside unit wants to swing when touched, which is NOT GOOD at all, it is NOT SECURE, it just 'barely' hangs on the screw, so, if anyone, especially a clumsy or young person that has too much energy comes along and pushes against it too hard, well, it could sure fall. (This does have some somewhat flimsy 'legs' that pull away from the back like a picture frame has on the backside, so if you are one that prefers it to be on a table or desk, that should suffice IF there are no cats, dogs, or young kids around) I always have some Velcro on-hand, so I placed 'one side' on the back of of the unit, along with the 'other side' of the Velcro STILL STUCK ON IT, then I positioned it on the aforementioned screw, then FIRMLY pressed them BOTH against the wall to ensure that the sticky Velcro is adhered. This is very easy, I'm sure that I make it sound harder than it actually is. Although I don't feel that this is a good design at all from the factory, it is hanging there firm enough that it should not ever be a problem after using Velcro. ***(When changing batteries, you need to unhinge the upper part that hangs on the screw, then gently, not forcefully, pull away from the wall to separate the Velcro)*** _________________________________________________ (2) The outdoor sensor received the same treatment, I placed the Velcro on the backside of it, then pressed it onto my outside wall underneath the eve of the house. I already had a cut-out from a clear plastic bottle (Maybe it was an old ketchup bottle?) that I cut to fit over the sensor to protect it from any rain that 'could possibly' get on it. (This is only recommended, you do not have to do that, it worked for years on my other one) _________________________________________________ (3) The TAB on the back that is where you would grab to lift the battery compartment lid is odd. They expect you to hang it by a screw, I assume, so there is a small opening on the back of the sensor. The TAB I mentioned prevents the sensor from laying flat against the wall, which is a crazy design. When I placed the Velcro on it, it sticks fine to the lid, but when you press it against the wall FIRMLY, that TAB prevents it from being secure against the wall. I could have removed 'some' of the TAB, but I didn't, just be aware of this in case you want it to lay flat against that wall. If your preference is you like the screw method best, it will work, but, a slight knock on it and it will fall onto the ground, hence the Velcro. Be forewarned! There is more good than any bad, so don't let me scare you. I cannot really state what this can do until after I actually use it, that takes time, and when and if something on it goes awry, I will most definitely return here and let y'all know. My first impression of it is, I REALLY LIKE IT! Hopefully it will live up to that. :) (11-17-2024)

Good Weather Station Option
The product worked great. This was a Christmas gift and was nothing short of what they asked for. The temperature tracking is very accurate and the price is just right for this product. I will say the reason I am only giving it 4 stars is because the readability is a bit hard on the eyes because it could say 6 but look like an 8 due to the behind lighting being a little to bright when not in use.
