This TV CAN run Xbox series X games at 4k 120hz!
I bought this TV primarily to use my Xbox series X on and I have seen a lot of misinformation regarding the 120 hz, it IS possible to run 4k 120 hz on this TV, let me explain, so first make sure you have a HDMI 2.1 cable aka Ultra High Speed cable, the Xbox Series X console comes with a 2-metre Ultra High Speed HDMI cable so you should already have one if you bought a Series X, secondly make sure you plug it into the correct HDMI port, ports 3 & 4 support HDMI 2.1 so plug it into one of those then go open up the settings on TV go to system > HDMI & CEC > HDMI Format > Enhanced Format. It is crucial you select this otherwise the option for 120hz will not appear on your Xbox also make sure game mode is switched to ON as well to ensure you get the best performance then once you have done all that go into the settings on your Xbox General > TV & display options and you should see the option for 4K UHD and 120 Hz you may also want to check your video modes option on your Xbox too and make sure everything you want is checked like VRR, HDR, Dolby vision etc. As for my review of this TV, this is a fantastic TV the picture quality is gorgeous on my series X, the colours are vibrant and games run buttery smooth on it, haven't really tested the sound quality much as I primarily use headphones but I didn't find anything wrong with it. All of these features on a big 55" TV I got for £500 is fantastic value, I got a great deal buying this TV and would highly recommend it especially if you're a gamer.

Great TV, picture quality Excellent
Great quality TV for an amazing price. Had this over a year and it’s still going strong. Picture quality is very good. Only regret is not getting a bigger size! Great TV, underrated brand.

Who is this aimed at?
My main purpose of buying this TV was all the buzz words HDMI 2.1 120hz etc etc. However, once you start trying to game on it, for FPS then if you have bad vision, and sitting at a distance then they become less enjoyable to play. I would say that this TV should really be aimed more so at story based games. My 60 inch broke and I then used this as my cinema room TV, however when you are sat a few feet away and when the TV unit dwarfs this TV, then it no longer is a cinema room just a TV room. I got fed up of using it to be honest, as the viewing distance are all wrong. I cannot fault the quality of the picture, and sound on TV's are never 100% hence sound bars or surround sound. I decided to buy a racing seat as a bucket list item, and this TV will be used to mount on the driving rig when I get it. I hope that being a lot closer to the screen will be better than sitting too far away. If you only have a small home or place for a TV or maybe you are upgrading from a 42 inch as an example, then this will feel like a cinema to you. However, once you have gone big, there is no going back. If you are a FPS player, then really you need something smaller 24 or 27 is more the recommended sizes for competitive players, as I say though story based games will be ok, but on a larger size screen they become cinema games. So this is a hit and a miss affair for me, just not as good for anything as I had expected and hoped for. However, it is a very good TV if you the end user are happy with.

Good features for price.
Im reviewing this TV after almost 3 years of ownership and I can say it's still working fine. Great picture quality, sound isn't too bad...I use a sound system connected via BT. Plenty of good features for price. I did have a issue where the TV would reboot itself after coming out of standby almost every other day. Contacted hisense who helped me perform a firmware update which resolved the issue upto 98% as I still get the odd reboot sometimes, however I think that is normal for the functionality...clears cache and memory I believe. I have had two updates since ownership, one for the reboot issue and one automatic update two months after purchase. So I think you only get updates if there are enough issues reported and only during the warranty period. My advice would be to contact hisense during the warranty period to get any issues such as firmware updates resolved. I do believe this is where Hisense lack in terms of ongoing software support compared to other well known brands who do release software/firmware updates after warranty period. But the price point of the Hisense given the features you get over other brands maybe a factor here. My last Samsung LED tv is over 15 years old and is still working! Just slow and not a smart tv. Im hoping the Hisense at least gives me 10 years, maybe wishful thinking...who knows only time will tell, for now it's working.

Never again, screen is flickering! Waste of money!
I purchased the Hisense 55U7HQTUK 55” TV two years ago, and my experience with it has been a rollercoaster. Initially, I was impressed by its features and picture quality, which made it a significant investment for my home entertainment setup. However, as the warranty period has ended, I have encountered persistent issues that have left me feeling disappointed. Recently, I noticed that the screen has started to flicker intermittently at the top. This issue has become increasingly bothersome and detracts from the viewing experience. In an attempt to resolve this problem, I restored the default settings on the TV and even changed the power cable, hoping these actions would rectify the flickering. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the issue persists. Given that this was an expensive television, my expectations were high. I anticipated that it would provide reliable performance for many years. However, experiencing such a significant problem after only two years of use is disheartening. It feels like a complete waste of money considering how much I invested in this product. Overall, my experience with the Hisense 55U7HQTUK has been disappointing due to its recent performance issues and lack of durability. After just two years of ownership and with no warranty coverage anymore, I find myself regretting this purchase. The flickering screen is not something I expected from a „premium television model”. Never again! Wish I could get my money back.
