Avantree Repose - Bluetooth Sleep Earbuds for Side Sleepers

I have smaller ears and have not found earbuds that stay in place for long even when I am awake. These however fit and are small enough to "tuck" into my ears such that sleeping on my side is still comfortable. And if I find the headphone on the side of my head on the pillow is annoying me (it never hurts), I can just pull it out, keeping the other one in, and not worry about doing anything with the removed earbud as it's attached to the neck piece. I don't shift around a lot while I sleep, more while falling asleep and they have never come out then or while sleeping. The neck piece does shift around sometimes, but never enough to disrupt the earbuds or wake me up. I never wake up with my ears hurting and when I have worn them while awake, they stay in without me constantly having to push them back into place, and they don't begin hurting after wearing them. They definitely get as close to "not notice I have them in" as I think is possible. I noticed the cords or neck piece more than the earbuds themselves. Which if I do, isn't much. I can't really speak to sound quality as I listen to audiobooks, but even when using only one earbud, I have never had to max the volume to hear my books. I have had them for 9 months and use them a couple times a week. I have had no problems with them and they work just as good as when I got them. I can't recommend these enough. (I first tried the soft headbands with the headphones built in. After having three that all broke after very little use, I gave up on them. I am so glad I eventually found these.)

Purchased the Avantree Repose "sleep" earbuds. I would like to first say the customer service with this company is beyond GREAT! Avantree gets a 10+. My first pair had a problem where the BT kept shutting off. I did what troubleshooting there was and contacted company NOT Amazon. Avantree immediately created a ticket and sent me out a replacement pair within 3 days. Within a day after my replacements arrived Avantree C.S. sent me a shipping label to return the defective pair. The battery life is phenomenal on the Sleep buds! I use my cell to stream programs when retiring for the night. The earbuds are super comfortable and very soft silicone that fits snug in the ear. The earbuds are very tiny much smaller than the HEARPROTEK sleep buds which I now retired. In the past I had never found a BT sleep bud that was comfortable for side sleepers and where battery didn't last more than 4 hrs. I often will wake up in the middle of the night and use my cell to stream a program so I can go back to sleep. Because these sleep BT have such a great battery life you don't have to worry about the battery draining after 4 hrs. What most impresses me is they are super comfortable for SIDE sleepers. The battery life is beyond any BT I have ever used - more than 24hr charge time I have seen so far. I like them also for listening to music or podcast...all works well! I charge them every morning which takes roughly 10 min. They are worth every penny for a budget friendly BT. Would definitely purchase again. Rei and Jenny at AVANTREE have been great!

These ear buds are easy to use, have decent sound quality and are reasonably comfortable for sleeping. Unlike some other commenters, I do not find them to be all that small (I was hoping they would be smaller than they are), but I do have very small ears. I like the soft, flexible neck piece to which the ear buds are attached - my long hair occasionally gets tangle with it, but that is a minor inconvenience compared to the convenience of easily keeping track of the ear buds. The ear buds themselves are very soft and flexible. These are definitely a bargain for the price. 8 months later- all the above is still true, but they have not been as sturdy as I would have hoped. I am very gentle with them, yet one ear bud is no longer working. Disappointing, yet I will probably buy another pair.

Just made my second purchase. The first pair I bought May 2025. After about 8 months one side stopped working and the sound in the other eventually faded to where I couldn't hear anything after 12 months. As a side sleeper I could really only hear out of whichever side is pressing against the pillow. Once one side stopped working I had to move the whole neckband around if I was flipping over. That was very irritating. I will say these are very comfortable. I have small ears and these fit well. I don't have any ear pain when wearing these all night. Please know these are not noise cancelling...you can hear a lot of other noise in the room so if you have a snoring spouelse these aren't much help. I enjoyed these so much that I decided to purchase another pair even though I wish they would have lasted longer. I've had the second pair for about two weeks. There are some differences from the first pair I bought that are slightly irritating. The second pair used a micro usb and the first pair used usb c). This means I have to keep two chargers on my nightstand instead of the one I use for my phone. Also, the flap you lift to plug it in to charge is very tight and hard to get open...it is also hard to get the micro usb inserted. The first pair charges a little faster than this second pair. If this pair lasts longer than the last one I might keep purchasing because I think they are comfortable but if not I may have to find something else next time because I shouldn't be spending this much on something that doesn't work properly in 8 months.

When I started using these headphones, the right-side earbud hurt my ear. After adjusting, it got better. I like these headphones. The battery lasts for two days (about 16 hours of usage). The only issue I have is when the headphones reach 30% battery life, they disconnect from my device, and at that point, I have to charge them. They are pricey, and hopefully, they will last longer than most people are reporting. Overall, I like them. Fast forward, it's been 9 months since I've purchased these. I still like the headphones; however, now, in the right earbud, I hear static. I've cleaned the earbud with no change. I am debating on whether to replace this. They are not cheap. Update 3/30/25: I had to throw away the headphones. The static in the right earbud got so bad that I could not even put it in my ear. I will not be purchasing another pair. These did not even last a year.

I don't usually write reviews for products but these little headphones are amazing! My fiancé snores very very loud. I have tried everything between different types of earplugs, and those sleep headphones that come on the little headband, sound machines, fans, a combination of all of them together, nothing works to block out the noise. I play some white noise on these little headphones and I'm able to completely block out the sound. Not to mention that I don't have to have all that head gear on my head, and I barely feel them! They're the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. That being said I do typically need to switch out the little foam pieces or silicone pieces that come on most headphones for a smaller set because I do have smaller ears. TAhese fit me perfectly! So if you have big ears, they might not work for you, but for small to medium ears they are perfect. I highly recommend. Thank you so much for finally giving me a good night's sleep! I needed it!! Ps - I was really worried about the wire or that little back of the neck piece getting in my way while I slept, but I didn't notice it at all! Thank you!

I have used these for about 3 years, but in those three years I have purchased about 5 pairs. I absolutely loved these at first but have now come to dislike them. What I like about these is they are so comfortable, and easy to side sleep. I like that they have wires so if/when they fall out I’m not searching the bed in a frenzy. My partner snores LOUD so I enjoyed I could turn up the volume loud. What I dislike is that they do not last long, you may only get a few months out of them. They are way overpriced when these are poor quality. Now I’m shopping around for a different set because I’m tired of losing sleep and being disappointed.

I bought my first pair a little over a year ago and they were perfect in every way. I just bought my second pair and the ear buds themselves are a little bigger and don't stay in my ears as well the first pair, thus the 4 star review rather than a 5. PS, I literally wear these every night, the battery life is awesome! Update 2026. I had to replace my earbuds due to one side not working so I got ahold of Avantree, the customer service was excellent. Avantree replaced my earbuds free of charge and during our conversation I told them about my first pair of earbuds having the same issue and they replaced them too!! I highly recommend this company and the sleep earbuds, they are the best!

Works OK for sleeping due to the small size of earbud. But the neck unit tends to slip off if you move around in bed. Small glitch in the on/off button too that I haven't reported in. So maybe that's just on mine. They could've fixed the slipping issue by making the wires a bit longer so that they could cross each other and go in the opposite ear. But they are just a tad too short for that. Recommended, however.

I use these listening to music/podcasts while in bed. I really appreciate the concept: price is good, finish is great and the sound quality is excellent. However... I have big ears so the non-changable small earbuds just fall out with every move which is super annoying. I have McGivered some sillicone earbuds over the fixed earbuds which works pretty OK, but it is not optimal of course. Secondly, the idea of the brace is nice, but it just isn't so practical. It doesn't stay in place for me and shifts to the side all the time. I'd rather that the battery and controls are a smaller unit in the wire (check Sennheiser CX150 BT - overpriced, and have their own quirks but designwise a better concept for me).

I'm not sure why it has taken me this long to get a product like this. My use case: I've been unable to fall asleep without a podcast or audiobook playing for 10 years. Usually I've just had one earbud jammed in my ear (I sleep on my side, so squashed between my ear and pillow). I've ruined half a dozen pairs of (cheap) earphones in this time. I usually set a podcast off with a 60 minute sleep timer. I'm usually asleep by this time, although I will occasionally need another half an hour or so. It's perfect for my use case, but there are a few little issues that have meant it hasn't exceeded my expectations even further. Rather than writing paragraphs, I'll do a list of pros/cons and observations: + Easy to connect, once paired, just flick the switch, press play and go to sleep + Adequate, responsive controls + Band is comfortable, flexible and I don't notice it's there + Sound quality and isolation is perfect for listening to spoken word + Battery life is very good. It has lasted me a whole week on a single charge, with average of 60 - 90 mins playtime, on low volumes each night. It seems it doesn't use much battery when it's just sat idle, but still connected to my phone + Comfortable earbuds, and I didn't previously consider myself to have small ears. + Excellent design insofar as the wires for the earbuds are quite short from the band, they don't seem to snag on anything and potentially cause damage, which is important as they cannot be replaced. + They're so low profile in the ear, I've discovered I can use them with my motorcycle helmet, which is a real bonus. I can even hear my podcasts when riding on motorways - I never intended them for this purpose! However lack of waterproofness and the buttons being so easy to press by accident when you move your head means they're not perfect for biking. + When connected and in operation, no flashing lights to cause light pollution for partner ! Neutral: - the earbuds aren't quite big enough, so I often wake up and they're no longer in my ears - not really a problem for me. This probably happens when I swap sides - the buttons are a little 'clicky' - would be nice if they were silent - it would be nice to have the play/pause button to have more functions, for example 'play next' if you quickly tap it twice. But not a huge problem for me. Negative: - sound isn't in sync when playing video. This isn't my use case, so I don't actually care. But they claim it syncs up - not true. Using pixel 8 pro, for reference. - replaceable earbud tips would be a useful feature. - I'm unsure about long term durability, but I've had no reason to doubt this so far. Summary : I'm in love with these things and I'm not sure how I will cope without them in future. A few improvements here and there and they would be beyond perfect for me, as I can comfortably use them while riding my motorbike, which is another area that I've never found a good solution for. Probably the best thing I've bought for myself this year.
