A Game-Changer for Sensitive Skin – Worth Every Penny
This is hands down one of the best razors I’ve ever owned. The Braun Series 9 Pro 9487cc delivers an incredibly close shave — my face is smooth to the touch every time, with no stubble left behind. What really sets it apart, though, is how gentle it is on my skin. With other electric razors, I’d often deal with irritation, razor bumps, and rough patches, sometimes needing extra skincare afterward just to recover. Not with this one. The shave is close, but never harsh. I still apply a post-shave ointment out of habit, but honestly, my skin doesn’t feel irritated or damaged even after multiple uses.Another thing I’ve noticed is that I don’t need to shave as often. I’m still shaving a few times a week, but the frequency seems lower, likely because of how cleanly this razor cuts.Cleaning & MaintenanceThe cleaning base does a great job, but I personally recommend brushing off the cartridge after each use before docking it. It keeps things fresh, helps maintain a consistent shave, and probably extends the life of the razor head — especially important given the premium price tag.Extra FeaturesI also use the skin vibration/massager attachment (forget the exact name) to help work in aftershave. Especially when I was transitioning from a previous razor that caused bumps, this feature helped dramatically reduce inflammation overnight. Now it’s a standard part of my routine, and my skin stays smooth and clear.Final ThoughtsYes, it’s expensive — but the performance justifies it. If the Series 9 Pro is out of your price range, I’ve used the Series 7 before and can confidently say that’s also a great option with similar skin-friendly results. But if you want the best, this is it.Highly recommended for anyone with sensitive skin, or for those who simply want a top-tier shaving experience.

Love this product
I've had long hair, my entire life, and a few days back, decided at 66 years old I was fed up with the receding, thinning, graying frizzy ponytail look and decided to take back my power by shaving it all off.Feels liberating, but I was concerned with how much of a hassle shaving my now bald head might be, because I was thinking the usual face razor rather than foil clippers. I decided to get the best, and it was so worth it.The barber who shaved my head said I should come back every few weeks at $55 a pop (Hell no!).This arrived yesterday, and not only did it make a close head shave easy, fast, and fun, but it also made shaving my face much faster and easier. At this price point, I decided to purchase the three-year warranty, so it's nice to know that it's covered.

Impresive shaver
I owned a Braun Series 7 shaver for 10 years until I recently lost it. This Series 9 shaver represents a significant improvement over the Series 7. I am very impressed with this shaver.

Nice Razor
It’s a real nice electric razor but you have to give it a lot of time to get use to if you’re switching from a blade razor it will get close to a blade shave I have mine about 1 month and I feel stubble after I shave and wet my face

Price is justified, if you think of this as a investment for self care.
Does not leave any burns or rashes if you use cleaning kit, after every use, great investment for those with sensitive skin.Coming from someone who has used every mainstream razor electric or not; this one is simply the best, if not DEE BEST

Norelco vs Braun
Bought the top-of-the-line BRAUN, because the top-of-the-line NORELCO just didn't cut the whiskers well enough. NORELCO has a Nose-Hair trimmer though, that works very well.BRAUN. The Rubber Block, that's placed in lieu of the shaver head for a pre-shave, makes quite a difference as a preamble to shaving. It 'erects' the whiskers and makes a close cut possible. Unless something changes with the BRAUN over time, I'll stick with the BRAUN. Anybody wants to buy a NORELCO like new for a song, please let me know.

This is an amazing shaver
This is an amazing shaver. Have had several electric shavers in the past all of which never really gave a good shave. This Braun 9, however, gives a great and comfortable clean shave, A+++++

Underwhelming, and Flawed
I have not used an electric shaver in 15-20 years, and was looking to this to provide some convenience (knowing full well I would not get a razor quality shave).Overall, for being the top of the line product, it's underwhelming.I gave it a go on a 3 day beard to start and it struggled. After spending more time making pass after pass than I would with a razor, I ended up cleaning it up with a razor anyway. It does do better with daily use, but nothing past every other day. (And I do not have very fast or thick growing facial hair). It struggles with skin under the chin/neck area and above the lip (mustache) more than it should for a premium product. The instructions are terrible. It's like they went to IKEA, and said "make a manual for this shaver, but worse than yours".The cleaning station, while a useful feature, needs some refinement. The cord is very short, so I find myself moving it from its resting place to an outlet, and when I do it inevitably always spills some of the alcohol solution. The shaver connects to the base by metal contact points, and does not click in. I bumped it when it was in the drying phase of its cycle, and it lost contact and stopped the cycle. As a result, I had to re-start the entire cycle from start. There is no way to just run the dry cycle, and it's about a 40min cycle. Again... underwhelming for a premium product.Overall. It's solid if you start with a razor shave, and use it daily (or every other day) going forward. It feels well made, and the cleaning port is a nice feature (but flawed). For a premium product, however, it's underwhelming. It's like buying a German car, expecting a Porsche, and getting a VW.
