Children of Anguish and Anarchy (Legacy of Orisha, 3)

I didn’t know anything about this series until seeing movie trailers. Immediately got work reading the story and it did not disappoint. i have enjoyed all the characters, the love, the action and more. This was a great read.

Thank you for restarting my love of books again. I’m going to miss these babies. Excellent book, fantastic trilogy. Can’t wait to read more books by you.

It took me days to get through this book... I gotta say giving my final review I really started to not like Zelies character the way she INSISTED on being a sacrificial lamb and her complex at not being good enough... It was CONSTANTLY brought up at every turn and I got so frustrated.... I can honestly say I don't like how Amari turned out kind of how her story fizzles out and I didn't like Inans ending at alllllllllll..... And the fact Mae is the one that tells him to do it and he just leaves and sacrifices himself...it's like WHAT?!?!.... THEN we NEVER HEARD of what happened to Roen.... It's like he just vanishes..... Great job on Tzain story line IT WAS GREAT.... I just wish him and Amari could have gotten together and we could have seen what a future looked like for them and even Zelies love life.... it wasn't anything else mentioned of it besides her saying bye to Inan....The last book was great we are introduced to a new tribe but as they story gained I feel like the other characters fell off and it was kind of rushed but never the less it's entertaining and well written great job look forward to watching the movie when it comes out.

I have enjoyed this journey to the fullest. Tomi has created a world that excites my inner child. So, I had high expectations for this book. But, the introduction of two new worlds and new a villain throws me. I feel like in an effort to bring more epic-ness Tomi just kept adding instead of finishing what she started. (I feel so bad saying this, but I feel this thing, you know?) First, let me say the development between Tzain, Inan, and Amari are beautiful. I wish we would had more details pertaining to Inan and Amari's relationship before Inan sacrifices himself. But I stood proud of them both. Now when it comes to Zelie....... She continued to annoy me down to Inan sacrificing himself. Her continued doubt in herself always makes me not believe in her abilities to save the day. When Inan is holding her face and telling her how she must fight...she responds with, yet again, what if I can't. In that moment, I realized that Zelie hasn't learned anything. Then suddenly in that last battle she gains all this power and belief in herself. Like, it took power for her belief in herself to unlock instead of her belief in herself to unlock her power. Then at the end, she walks on Orisha's shores like she did it all herself. It kind of made me mad that we didn't see her grow properly. We didn't experience her strength come from herself, only from belief from others in her strength. Now, these new worlds were never hinted too in previous books so them coming out of no where is still very odd to me. It kept giving GOT season 8 vibes in terms of the story feeling disjointed. This kept making me upset. Although, I love New Gaia. This land is beautifully described, but could have been left for another book. I wanted to see how Orisha would do in the end, not new Gaia. I don't know, I'm a reread it from book 1 and see how I feel. Cause Baldyr was hella random to me. I also needed Roen. And Tzain, is officially my favorite character.

What a Finale! This book was truly different than the first two (the narrator shift was very present and shifter the feel of the story in parts)The magic, other worldly and transcendent time truly engulf the reader. The heaviness of war, youth making life altering decisions and weight of loss of childhood are still ever present and truly gripping on EVERY page. The world building, majestic descriptions and emotion evoking details are what the reader has come to expect and are consistent throughout the story and series. The antagonist is clear and the many plots tell of multiple stories and timelines that emerge into a story with many lessons that still stand present today. This a book and series I definitely recommend.

Plenty of pages. Lots of words to read. Colorful. Exciting. Thick.

What I needed from this writer. I didn't like the ending but that doesn't change my mind about the book or the series. It does not disappoint you in story telling.

This was a good series! I was irritated the whole time because the main characters… just ugh 🙄 but definitely top notch entertainment!

Love this one tow. Can't wait for her new book to come

From book 1 to book 3... There are so many ups and downs, so many surprises and twists, tears of joy and sadness so you keep going back for more. Each character has you feeling their emotions as expertly written by Tomi Adeyemi. You find yourself in the world that Tomi has written through each book. This final book in the series leaves you an emotional wreck but it is so worth it. Zelie, Tzain, Amari and Inan have been through it all. Love this series and highly recommend. I can't wait for the movie ☺️❤️

The book arrived sooner than I expected which was great. Neatly wrapped and packaged. The book was absolutely beautifully written. It doesn't feel connected to the first two books and could've been a standalone / new series, some loose ends could've been tied up better, but I loved the world building. Tomi Adeyemi paints a vivid picture in your mind with her words and it just transports you to this magical place.
