I bought this board to learn to play cribbage with my girlfriend and some friends from school. When I received it, it was wrapped in plastic and was enclosed with a page of instructions. The instructions are useless, as they end mid-sentence before they even get to scoring. But, hey, instructions are easily supplemented through the internet. Just be aware. 24 pins are included in a compartment in the back of the board (6 of each color).The board itself is satisfying on a number of levels, both in aesthetic and functionality. The holes are drilled well, the pegs fit, and the board is marked very clearly with dark ink. I don't use most of the holes in regular play, but there are sufficient areas for scoring multiple and continuous games. It is constructed of a hardwood, maybe white oak, and the wood has no sharp edges or splinters. There are also short rubber feet on the bottom of the board that make it easy to set on wooden furniture.Amazon asks reviewers to rate toys and games on their educational value. I suppose that cribbage teaches basic arithmetic, but the only thing I teach is what it feels like to be skunked!

This is a simple well made cabbage board. Solid and sturdy and you only have to go around the board one time. It was so nice we bought 2. We even turned our friends onto this board and they bought one too!I did put felt chair pads on the bottom so it wouldn't scratch the table.

This cribbage board is exactly what we were looking for as far as the design.

Not a show stopper, but why can't the numbers line up properly with the holes. It's apparent from the picture that this is an issue... Look carefully before buying.

This is a great cribbage board, especially if you're a newer player and need to learn how to play without being paired up with anyone. It's solid, level and roomy.My only issue is that the paint on part of my board is starting to come up, a month since I purchased it. My husband and I play several times a week, but this shouldn't be happening. It looks as if it wasn't sanded properly in one spot, varnish was applied regardless and now the wood imperfection is causing the paint to come up.Otherwise, a great board and highly recommended.

The build quality of this board is excellent. The holes are straight and evenly spaced (not the case on other boards I've used). It's a joy to be able to play with 4 players (though the game time is significantly increased). The board is quite large because of the internal scoring area (which I've not found adequate instructions for). The included instructions are incomplete and probably not written by a native English speaker. The pegs are plentiful and what you'd expect from plastic.

The board is exactly what I was expecting but it was not shipped carefully so it came with dings and dents so much so that it had splintered on two edges. I would return it but it's not worth the effort. I'll just sand and refinish the damaged edges.
