Sony PlayStation 4 500GB with GTA V

This is a great machine. I can confirm that I received the new chassis (CUH-1216A) which is what I was hoping for. Not really been a massive gamer since the age of 15 but I made the decision to treat myself to the ps4. There is much more to do than just play games on the new generation of consoles. You can browse the internet, watch movies and use as a social media tool. I am sure that I have not explored every part of the ps4. The graphics and gameplay are fantastic and I wonder if they can make some of the games any more realistic than what they are.The machine itself is a nice size and looks quite stylish. My model, being the new chassis, is quiet and very smooth when in use. Lots of nice features and very easy to use. Set up is easy and even a novice should have no problems getting started. The consoles are not cheap and once you have the console it does not get much better because the games are also expensive. If you want decent accessories (headset, extra pad, etc...) then you will also have to pay a premium. Once you have everything and you are up and running I do not think you will be disappointed. Hours of fun with all the games to choose from. The ps4 also has built in Wi-Fi so it connects to the internet easily. Again, you have to pay extra (£39.99) for a years playstation plus membership. This will enable you to play games online and access extra content. Even though it is a lot of money to splash out I am glad that I have made the purchase and just hope I now get the use out of it.

Having a PS3 for years meant that I was missing out on the next generation console. Now that I have upgraded I am so glad that I have. First of all - having the ability to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sky Go from my console is fantastic. The interface is far more intuitive - easier to navigate and has amazing new controls. I love the voice activation mode and the new controller design with the capture button that allows you to share your best and funniest moments seamlessly with a massive community. The enhanced storage capacity allows for scope of downloads, where as with the PS3 I had only had 40gb which meant that I had to delete things with each new download. There is also a massive improvement in the graphics - much more detail that makes for an enjoyable experience. The two downsides to is the lack of reverse playability. I have lots of PS3 games and would have enjoyed the opportunity to play on the PS4 - also, previously there was no payment required to access the online features, something which gave it an edge over their rivals.

It's a PS4 (new low power model with physcail buttons) so is rather excellent at running the latest games. The controller is a HUGE improvement over the last due to being slightly bigger - much improved ergonomics, fewer hand cramps.GTA V is incredible. In fact I'm no longer sure that the real world is quite as well rendered as Los Santos. At one point I went for a swim to watch the sunset then nearly got eaten by a shark but managed to steal a boat and sail to a pier when I went for a fairground ride.One star off for having to sign up (and pay for) PS+ simply in order to play games online (clearly paying them nearly £300 is not enough). They've gone down the Microsoft route. Bad Sony.I'd also say that the new system menu is a step back from the PS3. They've further gone down the restrictive route to prevent any customisation - I feel lost and not in control and I've got noting installed. For example with the GTA V disk in the dive, each time I select it, it highlights the link to buy GTA V?! Frustration at every turn. Each time I want to watch the iPlayer, I have to scroll past all the "video" options I've not installed. The focus is purely to sell us more things. Just stop it Sony.

Rapped very bad no safety.The ps work well delivery on time.3 stars for the box and rapped the rest are fine.

Very Disappointed! Purchased this for Christmas gift for daughter. HDMI cable did not work on first using it. After a few weeks the controller would not connect. Looked on forums on Sony at troubleshooting. Looks like the console has locked itself and cannot use. Not happy! Returning for a full refund or full replacement please. Understand this is not the seller.. This is Sony!Trouble with it since first of all my dualshock 4 controller would not connect to the ps4 what so ever for a week or two at a time, it would connect every now and then but when it did I could only use it for a while before it disconnected I've tried everything and still nothing. But the main problem is this, my ps4 keeps saying no "hdmi input" it's worked before and the television that I have is full 1080 hd so there isn't a problem there. I have tried to turn on the ps4 with various tv's and I've even tried my Sony Xperia z3 however I cannot get the code up to pair the devices due to the fact that I have no tv display to show the code! I've held down the power button to reset it and it takes about 30seconds to beep once and this isn't right! Should the colour on the ps4 be blue or white because it never changes off blue, all it does is blink bright to dull! I've tried absolutely everything and it's really starting to annoy me now, I've also swapped hdmi leads and even bought a new lead to solve the issue but it's still not worked.

the ps4 overheats easily and gta v wasn't with it i had to buy it again.

After treating myself to this at Christmas, I can say that I made a good decision. The PlayStation 4 is a fantastic bit of kit. The console itself is very smart looking and compared to older models it is so quiet! The interface is user friendly and I enjoy being able to share screenshots and video clips on social media. The controller is fantastic, really comfortable to hold and easy to use. I've mainly been playing fallout 4 and it looks fantastic, and I am building up a nice collection of games to play when I finally finish fallout!Looking forward to some of the future releases for this console, I can see I will get years worth of entertainment from it.
