Gymboss Plus Interval Timer and Stopwatch and Gymboss Strap - Bundle (Black with Green Buttons)

This interval timer works great and is very easy to set and use. I saw a couple of reviews where they said the timer had fallen off the watchband while they were using it. I'll bet they didn't have it pushed on all the way. I found that you have to push it on with a fair amount of force until it clicks. When you do that it won't detach from the band until you want it to. And when you want to remove it, it is very easy to remove. It also comes with a pocket clip and I can clearly hear the alarm when it is clipped to my pocket. But when it's on the watchband not so much. But that's not a problem because I turn the alarm off and set it to Vibe. It is then silent and not noticed by anyone nearby but easily felt by me and I never miss an interval change! I did have one actual minor issue. The battery door was extremely difficult to open and even worse to close. In fact I never closed it as it was made. I played with it and played with it and it felt as if I was going to break it if I used the force it seemed like it would take to close it. So, I studied it for a few minutes and after that it took me less than a minute to trim a very tiny bit of the plastic from the main lock tab on the battery door and perfection! I left the two smaller lock tabs as they were. It opens and closes with enough force to keep it tightly and securely closed, but not so much that it feels like it will break when you open or close it. Everything is actually very well made and if the timer or watchband ever go out of commission I'll immediately replace them with exactly the same model. I have the black plus, with green buttons, and of course the great watchband! It's been a game changer for me. I only post reviews for things I feel strongly about one way or the other. In this case I am very happy to report I'm strongly positive about the timer and watchband. Also, I have never communicated with the manufacturer and have not be given an offer of any form of compensation for my review. I hope this review helps.

Given the relatively expansive features and limited number of buttons, getting the hang of how to use the device takes a little while. I use this with clients and realized quickly that it's not something that can reliably be figured out w/o instructions on-the-fly. This isn't by any means a bad thing and once you get the hang of it it's not complicated at all, but it is something I would recommend future buyers be aware of if they intend on using the device in a time-sensitive scenario. Overall though, it is a phenomenal device! Having both a clip and a wrist strap as options is fantastic, and both work quite comfortably.

This is a great combination of timer and band; wearing it on my wrist allows me to feel it vibrate so I can listen to music while running without worrying about hearing a tone/beep. I do interval running and this has worked extremely well at keeping me running/walking at the appropriate times. Unlike some others I have owned, this one is waterproof enough that it does not burn out from sweat - I even got caught in a sudden downpour one day and it is still working great. I started doing triathlons at 55 and now at 65 am getting ready for my first half marathon. Running/walking in timed intervals is making this possible. The only thing I do not like about this product is the documentation is poorly written, the pictures are not quite accurate and that makes the initial set up a bit confusing - it is not very intuitive. However, once programmed, I have had no other problems.

Gymboss is a great interval training tool.I use it for my walk/run training group. Its much easier to use than using apps on a phone etc.

I can’t speak to the long term quality of this. Its appearance is fair - certainly a bit old school looking but giving 5 stars on concept. It’s gotten to the point that I swear if I can dream it, someone has made it. I needed a countdown interval timer such as this for a work related function - and well, here it is. I use it to repeatedly countdown increments of 15-20 seconds so I don’t have to count. It works - therefore I’m happy I bought it. Happy such a thing exists. Because otherwise, there isn’t much of another choice. So great thinking on the part of the manufacturer. And I’d buy it again!

I ran in my 20's and my self worth was tied to my watch. Now that I'm much older and running again, I needed something to help me run smarter without allowing me to become fixated on the results. Do I really need to know every element an expensive watch has to offer? Not really. I need to know when to take my breaks and when to run again. The Gymboss Plus allows me to run smarter, improve over time and know I'm running my best each time I go out. The fact that it's inexpensive is a bonus. I like the large face for easy to read information. Note ~ use a Phillip's screwdriver to remove the watch from the watch strap for battery changes!!!

My wife and I spent a lot of time and effort before settling on Gymboss for an interval timer. At first it was the only one we found that had all the features that we wanted. I didn't expect much but this is super high quality and the company stands behind their product. I had to contact them once and they responded quickly and remedied my issue very quickly as well. Very good product and company.

I like the ease of setting and changing the workout times and the clarity of the digital screen. The wrist band is a GREAT add-on for the GymBoss for convenience of viewing. But, because the location of the speaker opening faces the flat surface of the wrist guard, the sound at its loudest level is still muted and can be difficult to hear in noisy areas or in a large group. It works ok for a group of 3 or 4 athletes.

Si deve andare sul sito Gymboss per trovare un disegno un poco esplicativo. Traduco in chiave dummy per chi fa esercizi di fisioterapia a casa. Se vuoi fare un esercizio di 10 secondi devi scrivere (pulsante set)10 nella posizione in alto a destra (1° interval) e se vuoi fare un riposino di cinque secondi fra un esercizio e il successivo devi scrivere 5 nella posizione in basso destra (2° interval). Premendo via via il pulsante set dai le altre regolazioni: quanti esercizi dello stesso tipo devi fare (lo scrivi nel cartiglio a sinistra), poi imposti il suonino Allarme (Beep) e/o la Vibrazione VB (meglio percepibile di Vb), infine quanto deve durare il beep. Se fai esercizi di 10 secondi il beep non può superare 2 secondi. Accendi l'aggeggio premendo il pulsante laterale sinistro e poi allo stesso modo dai l'avvio per i 10 esercizi di seguito. Inizia il countdown. Ad ogni avvio diminuisce il numero di esercizi rimanenti. Tieni il dispositivo al polso. Se hai blocchi di tot esercizi ciascuno conviene ripetere l'avvio alla fine di ogni blocco. Sul sito Gymboss paghi 20 dollari; su Amazon 35 €: il ricarico mi pare un poco eccessivo. Correzione successiva: la differenza di prezzo è dovuta al fatto che la confezione Amazon contiene anche, separatamente, il cinturino apposito.

Commandé le 20 février, livré dans ma boite au lettre le 28, tout y est : le gymboss, le clip pour l'accrocher à la ceinture et le bracelet pour le porter autour du poignet... N'oubliez pas d'acheter une pile AAA... Vivement mes prochaines séances de fractionné :)

Für meine Zwecke bestens. Ich benutze das Gerät als Timer für ein gleichmäßiges Training eines Pferdes. Ich lasse den Timer nur Vibrieren, damit das Pferd nicht auf den Ton reagiert. So kann ich gleichmäßige Intervalle in beiden Richtungen trainieren, ohne immer wieder auf die Uhr zu schauen. Jetzt wird die Vibration nach 8 Monaten schwächer und ich werde mal die Batterie wechseln. Funktioniert immer gut und zuverlässig.
