Q: Will this work on a Ruger 10/22 Takedown?

Yes.. as it will for any ruger 10-22. However , you can use the existing factory part, and reshape it to accomplish the same result. I used a small file and a dremel .. I own several 10-22’s and found it to be a good rainy day project - the factory part is just a little higher grade of steel , and is a tidy bit thicker

Q: does it lock bolt back after last round fired?

No. There are no products of which I am aware that lock back the bolt of a Ruger 10/22 after last round. It is the only fault I find in an otherwise excellently designedp rifle.

Q: Has anyone installed this in the Ruger BX-trigger upgrade?

Yes I have, works great! Ruger should have put the BX trigger in all their 10-22s along with an auto release.

Q: does this release plat make ruger 10-22 full auto

I have not installed this yet BUT....IT SHOULD NOT MAKE IT FULL AUTO! It is NOT intended to do that. Only to let a simple pull back to release the slide. The 10/22 is AWKWARD in that sense! This should fix it!
