Easy installation started on first pull runs great .

Great carburetor, looks just like my old one that is on my 8hp Briggs &stratton engine on my 80’s model log splitter. Only thing that is different is the mounting bolts are metric, easy fix , just tapped the holes to a 1/4 screw , bolt right up and fired off 1st pull! My old log splitter runs as good as new! Can’t believe the price. If I had taken it to a shop it would of been a couple hundred bucks easily. I would buy again . Great product and fast shipping

I bought this carb for 8 hp Briggs for a log splitter application. Carb out of the box didn't fit perfectly but with a little adjustments got it on. Of course you need the 6 mm x 20 bolts instead of using the 1/4 standard thread bolts that came off old carb. Even thought I had a little trouble with install I'm still giving this a rating of 5 because the motor started on first pull. After a light adjustment on the high speed jet screw I had it running great.Phil

The bottom boss had to be ground down before it would fit. The mixture adjustment is a screw, the OEM has a something a flat pad that can be adjusted with your thumb and forefinger. Adjusting the screw with the engine racing in close proximity to the exhaust was difficult and cumbersome. I also has to fiddle with the throttle plate because it would stick at low speeds.

I received the carb today and it looks to be of good quality. I mounted it to an 8Hp Briggs and in my case the threads on the carb mounting base were not the same as the original mounting screws. This carb does not come with new mounting screws and in my case I had to tap the carb for the original 1/4-20 mounting screws. Just wanted to get y'all a heads up in case your carb uses SAE threads, this carb will require new screws or re-tapping to use the old.I haven't started it up yet so not sure if there will be any performance issues but I'm confident it will operate correctly.

Carburetor installed just like orginal. Generator is running/working like new again. Didn't even need to make any adjustments!
