Happy Bivouac

I bought this album for my son for Christmas. Prior to his request I had never heard of The Pillows before. He shared the album with me and I must say I enjoy it. It is reminiscent, I think, of post-grunge 90s-era rock music. Initial listening sessions remind me of Tonic, Better Than Ezra or (dare I say?!) Third Eye Blind! I will not be rushing out to purchase the rest of their catalogue but I expect I will be checking out a few more (I'm coming for you, "Little Busters"!) in the future. Cheers...

I didn't actually expect to receive this item. I ordered it back in April, when the coronavirus pandemic was just starting to get awful. Japan post had stopped shipping to America, so I just wrote it off. Checked my mailbox yesterday and it was just chilling in there.As for the album, I love it, I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't.

The media could not be loaded.  I like this item for what i was looking for which was a kept physical copy of something that I enjoy. As for collecting I probably would look elsewhere, I had it cracked in a spot when I had it bought brand new. (The case not the disc) The disc works perfectly and was a joy to listen to.

The product came in excellent condition, but took 2 months longer than Amazon estimated. That being said, I'm so glad to have this album

Item came with two big cracks in the jewel case right out of the bag. This item's condition was "used-very good" and should not contain any cracks in it's case. I will be requesting a refund or replacement.

Really enjoyable band and album I found them through FLCL and theyre just an outstanding band the case had a few stratches but no damage to the CD at all

Item arrived on time and in good condition. Really enjoying the album so far. The only issue I've had is the only track information that I can find online is in kanji which is a little strange since everything on the album I received is in english including the track listings.

Came packaged brand new from japan! Took a little while to get here, but soooo worth it!

自分は「fools～」から後追いで聴き始めたくちですが、一番最初に興味を持ったのがコレ。カーニバルとファニーバニーが好きだったから。でも、聴いてみて他にも良い曲だらけで驚いた。クレイジーサンシャインやラストダイナソー、アドバイスなんか堪らない❗全体的にラフでローファイだけど、テンションは半端無い。

落ち着いているんだけど、爽やかで軽やかなサウンドが心地よいアルバム。ピロウズのアルバムはどれも好きですが、その中でもトップクラスのわかり易さがいいと思います。pillowsに興味ある人は絶対持ってなきゃ損よ！というアルバムであることは間違いないので、ぜひ聞いてみてください。

LAST DINOSAUR、Adviceを聴いていると、僕の魂は遥か空高く宇宙の果てまでぶっ飛ばされ、まさに言葉で表せない感情で胸が一杯になり、大声で叫びながら全速力でどこかに駆け出したくなる。このアルバムに出会えて本当に良かった。

このアルバムが出された当時、ピロウズはオリコンで５０位くらいの売上であった。それゆえにコアなリスナーが多く、あまりポップであると低い評価をされていた。それでポップな今作は７０位くらいに交代してしまった。だが、どう考えても過去の名盤とも曲の内容では全く劣っていない。特に「カーニバル」、「funny bunny」の２曲はピロウズが誇る名曲であると思う。ただ少し、中盤で単調になってしまったというくらいだ。もしこのアルバムが売れていたなら、普遍的に名盤の評価を受けていただろう。

フリクリというアニメでピロウズを知ってからずっとファンでした。活動年数が長い割になかなか店頭で売っていなくてここでやっと買えました☆
