A good large teapot, but tippy...
With the demise of my last LTC Chatsford 6 cup pot this has become the main teapot at home. So far it's cleaning up beautifully with just a quick rinse after use and makes a very good pot of tea. Things to know: - it's sort of huge, so you have to figure out how much to fill it to match a 6 cup (36 oz) capacity, or add a couple extra tsp of tea leaves - the rim of the basket tends to catch on the bottom of the lid, so it helps to pull it slightly away from that - the tall shape makes it a bit easier to knock over so watch where you place it And... it's tippy nature was it's undoing. This got bumped one day while cleaning up, rocked towards the edge of the counter, was stopped, then rocked back and smashed into a heavy glass Krouvi mug shattering both. It's since been replaced with a much more stable Happy Lemuro pot. As a friend observed, "there's a reason the little teapot in the song is short and stout".

The perfect teapot
Love, love, love! I’ve been wanting a larger teapot with a built infuser for loose tea. We are a family of 4, and we drink a lot of tea. This is exactly what I wanted. It doesn’t look like it holds as much as it does. When it arrived I actually though I ordered the wrong one, so I verified the volume with my measuring cup. Easy pour, does not spill or drip. The metal lid is attached by a removable rubber ring. So far this has been easy to remove and put back in. Hopefully that part does not break down (I’d recommend hand washing this part to make sure). The opening is too small to put my hand in to scrub, but easy to clean with any bottle brush, also dishwasher safe. The mesh infuser to easy to clean too, but don’t use a brush with bristles, because they will get stuck in the tiny holes. It’s not often I find something that is *exactly* what I wanted, but this teapot is it. I would definitely give this as a gift to anyone who loves tea, especially loose. Many pretty colors, I chose white so It would match everything.

LOVE this teapot!
I love this pot! I always use loose leaf tea, have been using a 24oz. Japanese cast iron pot for years. I wanted a pot with a larger capacity that wasn't as heavy. This pot's looks are deceiving - it looks small but holds a full 47oz. The strainer has very fine holes so you don't end up with tea dust in the bottom of your cup. Dripless pour also. All in all, s great pot!

No tea pot is ever easy to clean but this one is great looking.
Pros: This pot is substantial, so it holds heat. I'd bought a glass one prior to this and it's going cold by the 2nd cup. I like the inbuilt strainer, even if you use tea bags you can easily get rid of them when you are done. It's easy to pull out and clean. Great looking design. Pours well for 75% of the pour. Cons: when pouring there are two points where things are not quite right. The condensation on the lid will suddenly leak when you are almost horizontal as the lid does not lock in place. This is made worse if you fold the handle to the strainer the wrong way as it's only snug on one side. Second point happens when the inbuilt strainer has a large load of loose leaf tea which seems to make a dam that eventually breaks and you get a surge of tea. After some weeks you learn these quirks. It is heavy when filled so I would say for some people this is not easy to hold. So improved pour would give 5 stars. I'm happy I bought one, wish they made a 2 litre version too.

Love this tea pot!!!
This tea pot is so cute! I had a favorite tea pot for over ten years and last week I broke the lid. I was so disappointed. So I shopped and read a zillion reviews. I needed a fairly large one because I brew tea for iced tea. This one is the perfect size. And I was little worried about the handle and if I could lift it, because I have rheumatoid arthritis and my hands don’t work great. But this handle is very comfortable for me. Also, I was worried about all the breaking tea pots people were reviewing. So I poured the first pot of boiling water from the kettle in to the tea pot, very slowly, and on top of a towel, just in case. No cracks! Woohoo! I think if the tea pot was freezing cold it might crack, but for now it seems great. I don’t use the tea infuser because I use tea bags so I can’t rate that. But all in all this tea pot makes me happy so far!

Works a little too well?
Excellent teapot! Just the right size, much better than the oddly sized 3-cup size pots. Makes plenty of tea so that you have enough to last for a couple of hours or longer. the only downside is that the strainer is so well-made, such a fine filter mesh, that you may have to adjust you steeping time and brewing procedure. I'm the only person who drinks green tea in my family, so I Iike to take the strainer out after brewing so that the tea will stay perfectly steeped for a longer period of time. Because of the ultra-fine strainer, I've had to increase the brewing time to three minutes vs two, and when removing the strainer from the pot, I find myself having to dip it back into the brew and let it drain four or five times to get the desired level of taste. It's not a bad thing, just something to adjust to. The Finer strainer does an excellent job of straining out particles, but I must admit that the opening in the top of the pot is small enough that you must be extra careful when pouring in the hot water. All these things are minor though, and I love the pot.

Love the style but the teapot cracks after a few months.
I’ve bought this teapot 2x because I loved the shape and how much tea it holds. Both times the teapots cracked on me. The first teapot cracked at the bottom and the second cracked at the handle. Both are unusable. I always use a trivet, so the teapot is not placed on a cold surface. And one thing to note—I ‘ve seen other reviews that people were putting the teapot on the stove and actually heating the water in it. And for those who are not familiar with ta, this is NOT a kettle for heaven’s sake! Do not put a teapot on a stove!

Kam sehr schnell und ist gut verarbeitet. Was mich stört ist das das Kondenswasser vom Deckel beim Einschenken über die Kanne fliest. Der Deckel könnte etwas anders geformt sein dann passiert so etwas nicht .

Having got one else where in Amazon that arrived broken I was thrilled to bits to open this and find a perfect tea pot! The size is deceiving as it doesn't look big enough for 7 cups of tea...but it IS spot on for two large mugs of tea with enough left over for a decent top up (or 3 normal mugs & a small top up each) The inner steel infuser is very well made, it's rigid and smoothly finished having the advantage of a little handle to lift it out with. I find the easiest way to agitate the tea a little was by lifting the infuser up and down a few times! The pot handle stays cool to touch and most importantly, theres no drip when you pour either. I like the design of this teapot, it's not quite retro but doesn't look modern either so fits in my old-fashioned styled kitchen and as I chose turquoise blue and it's looks fab with my duck egg blue kitchen too. Could't ask for anything better to be really honest!

I just got this teapot and while I haven't had the chance to use it yet, I'll still give it 5 stars. I don't usually buy stuff like this online, I prefer to see the item in person to inspect it, but this was delivered in perfect shape, and is exactly as it appears in the photos. It's very simple and light, but feels very sturdy. The infuser has a little folding handle which makes it easy to remove from the teapot. The lid is attached with a rubber ring and it comes off very easily for better cleaning. It looks like it will hold several cups of tea, which is awesome... I can drink a cup or two and when it cools, use the rest for a chilled work beverage (I mainly use green and herbal tea). I would definitely recommend buying this teapot! Edit - ok, now I've had a chance to use it, and I'll add a bit more. The infuser is really nice. Well assembled and very neat looking. I put my teabags in it, which makes it super easy to remove them later, instead of fishing around inside the teapot with a spoon. Also, it is deceptively LARGE! After making a full pot of tea and letting it cook a bit, I filled a 500+ml bottle for work, and still had enough tea left over for at least 2 cups, maybe 3, depending on the cup size. Final small point, it doesn't leak or dribble when pouring the tea, which is a bonus.

I was lucky, I got mine for £20.89 Warehouse “used” deal, brand new so far as I could tell. It really does hold 1.4 Litres, despite what some very strange reviews are stating. Yes, I have measured the quantity. No drips, easy pour, no problems at all. Very easy to clean with my Sigg Cleaning Bush (https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Sigg-Designer-Cleaning-Brush-White/dp/B002I02HQU/ref=cts_sp_1_vtp) and a smaller brush for the spout. Handle remains cool if you pour the tea out fairly promptly but I prefer a whole pot to myself using a tea cosy, then it heats up but is still OK to hold in my opinion. In short, I am delighted with it.
