Automatically cleans out the hole while drilling.
The bit worked great for drilling holes in a tree stump in order to kill the tree.

Great tool
I needed holes in the bottoms of my 4x4’s to use them as light poles around my fire pit. Half concrete blocks just weren’t enough to keep them upright. I drilled the holes out of the 4x4’s and set them on top of rebar. Wind is no longer a problem. This bit worked beautifully. It’s very sharp and I had no problems using it for all 6 - 4x4’s. Cheaper than big box hardware stores and I think it’s a great buy. I would buy it again.

Good bit
The capacity of the drill to be used is important, not because the bit has shank 3/8", a 3/8" drill will do the job. I used the drill bit to drill 6 holes in tree logs using a 1/2" M18 Milwaukee drill and even though the depth of the hole was 6-8", the process went smoothly.

Quality recommend purchase
I wanted a bit to drill through 6x6 pretreated posts. This bit went through the material without any problem. I used it over 25 times in a row and it didn't fade once. I also like the shipping container which can be used to store the bit and it locks. They ship with a plastic cap on the end of the big to protect the thread part of the bit entry. I just wished I purchased a longer bit to go through two 6x6 posts completely but my fault. The bit did go as far as it could in length without a slowdown.
