Super simple to add your own mp3 sound to it and easy to use

This was the perfect device for my use. It was small, lightweight, easy to use, record/re-record the playback, and the sensitivity of sensor worked very well up to 6-8 feet away. The recording sound quality was good enough for my use in a seasonal decoration. Note, the unit doesn't not have volume control. The device was easy to plug in using a standard AC adaptor (note, adaptor is not provided) for standard USB devices as an alternative to batteries.

I bought this for a display I am building in my "man cave". The idea is to have music come on as someone walks by. The memory is very limited at 4 Mb and only MP3 files (MP3 for iTunes are not compatible). so I had to do a bit of audio editing to reduce the size of the recording. The sound quality is adequate for such a small speaker, but I wasn't looking for "surround sound" quality, just a fun bit of music for my display. My only problem is that the sensor is too sensitive. It activates at 4 meters (~12 feet). I want it to activate when someone is only a few feet away. I haven't taken the unit apart - yet. (If there is an adjustment inside I will update this post.) My work-around may be to block the angle of the sensor so that a person walking past a certain area will activate the sensor. But, even as is, the "Talking Sensors" will do the job.

L’appareil fonctionne bien. Cependant il n’est pas compatible avec Mac, jai pu le configurer sur Windows. C’est assez simple, en soit cela aurait pu être rapide si j’avais eu les infos nécessaires. Manque de précision donc. Pour le transfère audio sur l’appareil, vous pouvez utiliser le logiciel Audacity afin de compresser le fichier car il ne doit pas excéder 3,96 Mo (une musique d’environ 2 minutes, dépassait ce seuil pour ma part). Sinon le capteur fonctionne très bien, trois niveaux de volume qui pour ma part suffisent amplement pour la petite pièce dans lequel il est. Dommage peut-être que la capacité d’enregistrement soit si restreinte car finalement un seul fichier peut être lu. Dans l’ensemble le produit est satisfaisant

Handig dat deze versie een microfoontje heeft waardoor spraakberichten direct ingesproken kunnen worden. Geluiden inladen gaat gemakkelijk. De speaker kwaliteit zou beter kunnen.
