This is a great addition to a make-up artists library and does show techniques and tips - good but not brilliant - but definitely useful for classic make-up techniques.

This is a fantastic book filled with detailed historically accurate information. I’m so pleased I finally Bought it, it’s large and beautiful, a little smaller than my large coffee table art books. Fantastic read, great purchase

I got this as a gift for my 11 year-old niece, who loves makeup. She adores it. She likes seeing makeup throughout history. The pictures are great. It is a serious book but makeup lovers would love this coffee table book.

Ich habe dieses Buch als Sekundärliteratur für den Maskenkurs, den ich regelmäßig am örtlichen Studententheater gebe, bestellt. Ein sehr gutes, verständlich geschriebenes Einstiegswerk über die Geschichte des Makeups, sowohl die Substanz, als auch die ästhetischen Ansprüche verschiedener Epochen. Auf alle Fälle jeden Cent wert!

La copertina rigida e ben rifinita e ricco di fotografie, riprende la storia della cosmesi dall'antichità fino ai nostri giorni. Sono molto utili le tavole che ripercorrono le diverse decadi illustrando il make-up di quegli anni. Leggendolo ci si immerge in un mondo antico passato, quando il gesto del mettersi il rossetto era il massimo dell'essenza femminile. Sono felice di averlo a acquistato. Anche se in inglese, il testo è molto semplice e scorrevole. Amazon perfetto come sempre.
