Heavy Duty
Nice adjustable light. Very bright. Base is super heavy duty. Will last a lot of years. And price was awesome.

It's good for the price
It's good for the price. The light itself is pretty good, but the whole joints system and the joint locks - feel somewhat cheap, but they get the job done. They could really use some improvement. My guess is that the LED Light and the lens will last for some a long time and it has a very good light quality - the glass is clear and the magnification is quite good. A solid lock on the joints with some locking teeth would be better so it could really hold the weight and not rely entirely on just tightening and using only Friction to hold everything. I am not sure if this will last a long time holding it like this - especially the one used to hold the heavier head piece (LED and Lens). To be fair they have not failed me yet - but I also have not used the light extensively at the time of this writing. I guess if they had everything built rock solid, the price will be many times over. This unit is so affordable that I can't really complain a lot and I like the light it produces. So, only time will tell if it will hold.

Great light for the price!
I purchased this to replace a similar old school magnifying light that had lasted 35 years. Most of the new stuff these days is crap compared to the old model. I found this light to be comparable in structural quality to the old light. Metal extensions and connections. Solid steel table mounting bracket. Weaker plastic tightening knows that the old school model it replaced. The switch system is much better to turn the differing light qualities on. We’ll see how long it lasts. So far so good. Bye the way, the 8x is better than the standard 5x that most of these Amazon lights come with.

Worth it's weight in gold
We absolutely love this lamp. The magnification is perfect, the weight of the base is more than ample and the lighting choices are also perfect. The arm moves anywhere you need it to.

VERY GOOD but the magnifying glass didn’t work for me..
So I reluctantly ended up returning this bc the magnifying glass didn’t work for me. Which was a shame bc EVERYTHING else was SOO GOOD about it… let me get into it:Starting off, this is a quality light that is very well made! Great materials, it has the updated stronger clamp at the top that holds the magnifying glass, and the table mount clip is extremely well made and a bonus you can use it vertically or horizontally. One of the big selling points for me tho was that it had the controls on the top of the light since so many don’t include that and just place them nonsensically on the cord. The metal base plate is also notably one of the best you’ll find on one of these. No tipping at any angle and it’s almost completely flat so you can do whatever you want on top of it (I used it for soldering small electronics and I was able to place my mat right on top of it. And it didn’t tip when I extended it all the way down). Most of these have chunky thick base plates usually made of composite plastic/metal that just get in the way. This one is a full sheet of heavy duty metal with a soft foamy material on the bottom to protect whatever surface it’s on.I also thought that the light itself was very good and I liked that it included the 5 lighting shades as opposed to the 3 that many others have. I had bought this and a Yoctuson (branded) one to try out both and keep the one liked best, and I actually found that this one, albeit only having 76 LED’s, was brighter than the other brand that claimed to have 96!Now the bad part- the biggest reason why i ultimately ended up returning it was the magnifying glass itself... Idk, like it might work for others but being that the glass itself (and it is real glass btw) is only 4.3inches, it just felt horrible to look through. It made me almost feel nauseous as you have to hold whatever you have under it in JUST the right position or it goes out of focus… And that was a deal breaker for me as I need a good magnifier to see incredibly small electronic parts. In conclusion- if you just mainly need it for a light, I would HIGHLY recommend it. This is a VERY GOOD, very BRIGHT adjustable lamp. If you need it for the magnifying glass tho, you might want to consider checking elsewhere (or try it out and return it if it doesn’t work bc EVERYTHING else is great about it). I’d recommend one with a 5inch magnifying glass as it just makes things so much easier to come into focus. That other lamp I mentioned, the Yoctuson brand had an incredible magnifying glass that was sooo easy to use but I ultimately ended up returning that one too bc that was basically the only good part about it lol. It was decent but basically worse off in every other aspect that I mentioned in regards to this one.. if only I could’ve taken the 5inch Yoctuson magnifying glass and put it in this one, it would’ve been PERFECT! But alas, it was not meant to be…

Does exactly what it says
I bought this for my working station. I work on the machining equipment in my shop, and already have a few of different brands. I would say it is probably a better than than any others I have.

High distortion in lens
Product nicely packaged. However, for a 10x magnification, the lens diameter is far too small. As the magnification of any lens increases, the eye relief, distance from eye to lens, must also decrease. With this small 4.5" leans both eyes end up looking through the outer rim of the lens resulting in heavy distortion. Gave me a headache within a few minutes of using. If you have a small head with eyes close together this lens MIGHT work. Works great if just using one eye and looking through the center of the lens, but that defeats the purpose of the larger lens. Light intensity at full power is fair-to-good but does not seem to measure up to the claim of 2200 lumen which should be extremely bright at such a short distance to the table.
