## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you know what grade of Ni this is?**
A: While I have used these anodes without any problem for bright nickel plating, I have not found any information on per cent nickel content or the specific grade.

**Q: Thickness or weight pleas**
A: The anode I received measures: 0.0218" which equates to 25 gauge on a sheet metal gauge scale.  I believe that different metals are measured differently, but this is using the sheet metal numbers.

**Q: what is the thickness of the nickel anode?**
A: About 1/3 of 1/16 of an inch thick. Paper is .004 of an inch thick and it is about 5 or 6 sheets of paper thick, about .021 of an inch think, like a thin putty knife. I have a Lenox brand hacksaw blade. It is about the same thickness of a hand hacksaw blade like the back side where there are no teeth for cutting.

**Q: Can this be used in Makume Gane?**
A: I have no idea. Had to look Makume Game up....

Good to do some nickel plating in the vinegar. Worked great. Dosent last long, I recommend buying thicker for bigger piece than a single bolt.

I bought this to do nickel plating using vinegar and salt as the electrolyte. It worked fine! I did notice flaking but it is not from nickel plating coming off. You can test it with a dremel. If sparks are peasant then it contains iron. This does not.
