I have always loved Almond Roca. It is one of my favorite candies. It brings back memories of Christmas when I was a child. The only problem is I tend to eat a lot of them at a time which isn't good as far as calories are concerned.

First, let me warn anyone else who lives in the southern US, you may want to put off getting this (if at all possible) until the weather cools down, My cravings got the better of me, however, and I ordered this during a typical sweltering Texas summer, so by the time we brought the box inside, my Almond Roca had melted a bit (just the chocolate part). After an hour in the fridge, it was solid again. I really like the texture of this candy. The toffee part is light and crumbly at first, and then it gives way into a chewiness that is nice as well. The chocolate and nuts on the outside of the toffee complement it and aren't overpowering the toffee taste (which is the star of the show). My only complaint is a slight burnt flavor/aftertaste to the toffee. I'm not sure if every batch tastes like that, as this is my first Almond Roca purchase. The taste is very slight and doesn't linger, so it didn't keep me from enjoying the candy overall. However, I would've enjoyed it a lot more had that burnt flavor not been there at all.
