Protexin Veterinary Cobalaplex Capsules for Cats and Dogs, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin B9 Supplement for Gut Health, Chicken Flavour, 60 Capsules

My super senior cat (18) was losing weight continually for weeks despite eating quite a bit. This product literally saved his life - at his lowest weight he was only 2.4kg and was really weak. Within a week of starting it, he gained 200g and although it doesn't seem a lot it was life changing for him. Over the following weeks and months he has gone from strength to strength going from barely having the energy to stand to being able to run up the stairs again and play. I wholeheartedly approve of this product, but before buying I think people should always consult their vet first. Big thumbs up from this family. 👍👍

Certainly making my cat seem happier. As you open the 'tablet',some of the content can easily be lost. Unscrewing/opening the capsule needs a bit of force.

The supplement itself is great. Really helps my dog with colitis. Capsules are easy to open to sprinkle the contents over food. Must taste ok cos he eats his food with it on no bother. Only down side is when trying to pop the capsules out of the blister pack the plastic breaks instead of the capsule coming out at least half the time leaving sharp edges. My Mam who is nearly 70 can’t pop them out at all.

Really good product and easy to use they are chicken flavoured so our cat was more than happy to eat it sprinkled on his food they were recomended to me by my vet for my elderly cat who was having alot of gut issues they seem to have really helped him so have repurchased so.e more when I ran out and will continue to keep him on these as they really help well worth the money the only issue I had which may of been my fault due to storage is the powder can go hard in the capsule over time so they need to be stored well

A Vet recommended I try 'myProtexin' on my poorly 16 year old pussycat who is suffering from pancreatitus, weight loss, loss of appetite & kidney problems. Since taking 'MyProtexin' along with other significant dietary changes, I have noticed a marked improvement in his digestion. He has fewer episodes of sickness, he has developed a voracious appeitite and gained weight; he is returning to his old ways & is tearing around the house when having a funny five minutes, jumping up on our laps and is no longer distressed, disinterested or depressed, refusing to eat or giving up! As well as implementing 'myProtexin', I was lucky enough to have a dear niece who advised I adopt an holistic approach to improve my elderly cat's well-being and quality of life. I looked into this and oh my, what a difference, tender, loving care makes! I now hand feed my cat with Licky-Lix, (about five different flavours per day), chop up his wet-food into smaller pieces and dissolve one 'myprotextin' capsule into it. I replace his water jug with fresh water every day, (he prefers to drink from a jug in the bathroom, than water from a dish). I continually talk to him, sing to him, interact with him, play with him, brush him and I have put a sheepskin rug under the radiator in the bathroom, which is his go to place when we are not around and where he stretches, curls, paddles and lies upside down, whilst absorbing all the heat and warmth he can. He also has a box on the work top in the kitchen where he sits watching us, with his chin resting on the rim of the box, just letting the world go by; he is comfortable, happy, his health is improving, he goes in and out on his own accord and is enjoying his own and our company when he wants it! It is such a joy to 'see' my old cat back with us; he is very much his old-self again and I hope, if his quality of life remains as it is, he can live a contented life for many more years to come.

Update: November 2020: After posting my review in July I’m sorry but I’m calling into question the efficacy of the last two boxes purchased under Subscribe and Save. My dog had started to ‘beg’ for food and also become a little anxious and a little bit over excited before meal times and the best way to describe it is OTT by the time it came to the actual feed time. I thought oh oh, why is he so very hungry? NOTHING had changed to bring this behaviour on. He’s wormed without fail every 3 months, feel we have a duty to the dog, ourselves and others health and safety. It dawned on me could it be that these tabs are actually not up to par and have his B12 levels dramatically dropped? With Covid-19 still a real risk we didn’t take our dog to the vets for a blood test but we paused Amazon purchase and bought these tabs from the vets. I guess you know what I’m going to say next! In a little over 2 weeks our wonderful dog has reverted to being completely satisfied with his meals again and doesn’t ‘beg’ in between at all: he’s HAPPY again! So relieved. Another symptom he had was his clean toilet habit was all over the place: not ‘performing’ as normal, and it was no joke getting up any time from 12 midnight to 5am night after night, but he was so good in telling us he needed outside and not wanting to soil anywhere in the house. His normal routine and ablutions have completely settled down again. No coincidence, no exaggeration, simply fact. Felt I had to write this update as other people’s dogs may have been affected and if so I hope this critique helps. Needless to say we’ve cancelled the Amazon subscription and will be buying from the vets in future. Bottom line: if your dog has vitamin B12 deficiency then the real tabs are the real deal. July 2020: A chance visit to an excellent locum vet put us on the right track with our dog’s problems by running blood tests and discovering extremely low Vitamin B12 levels. This deficiency meant food wasn’t being properly absorbed, it must’ve been awful not feeling full up or satisfied. These capsules sorted him out within 3 months: I split one capsule twice a day and sprinkle over his food, as per advice from vet rather than feeding whole or pushing down throat - potential serious choking hazard if goes down windpipe. Simply used small pair of scissors to split open if a bit difficult to split but lately batches have been great to open, makers seem to have realised and made it a cinch. He loves the taste, according to vet it’s chicken flavoured and he goes nuts with excitement when he sees me sprinkle it over his meal! Had tests done after this time and B12 levels were right up at the top of the spectrum. Kept him on them as not taking any chances with his health or his well being. A bit cheaper on Amazon and even more on Subscribe & Save. Win win.

Gute Kapseln, habs damals von der TÄ bekommen u hier nachbestellt. Gebe aber einen ganzen B Komplex mittlerweile als Kur, so ist von jedem B was dabei.

bereits mehrfach gekauft und erfolgreich angewendet. Ich gebe es meinen Katzen als ganze Kapsel. Dauert einige Monate bis es wirksam ist, aber es bringt Erfolg bei einer Dysdiose.

My fussy dogs don’t mind it at all when mixed with their food. Before they used to need B12 injections every two weeks, do I am glad now we have found a great alternative. This was recommended to me by my fantastic vet of 9 years. He is also kind enough to advise to buy it on amazon cheaper than selling you this or an alternative a lot more expensive.

Das Produkt macht was es soll, die Werte meines Katers waren sehr hoch, haben aber durch eine Erkrankung mehr gegeben als auf der Packung stand! Die Kapsel geht leicht zu öffnen und man kann das Pulver gut ins essen vermischen!
