8 years between my first child and my new little one and the quality is just as great as I remember
Haven't used the stage 2 yet with our newest addition but I promise you will not regret getting these, especially if you're going to be nursing and bottle feeding. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I began my search for these bottles. I discovered these shortly after having my oldest and they were a life saver. Unfortunately, they are not sold in stores anymore but I almost cried when I found them here. 8 years between my first child and my new little one and the quality is just as great as I remember. No tearing nipples and the best part is no nipple confusion or latching problems. Hands down my favorite and I am so glad I was able to find them.

Great for the baby that is mostly breast fed but needs an occasional bottle!
This is the second baby I have used this for. I mostly breast feed but need to have something for the occasional work shift. These really do seem to work well for baby, and I don't have to suffer the discomfort of baby using the wrong eating technique on me later. He won't take a bottle if I am right there though so it obviously isn't quite the same as the breast, but it is easily accepted when Mommy isn't around. There is a learning curve though, make sure anyone that will be feeding baby really understands how these nipples work and how the baby's mouth she fit around it. (just like on the breast!) My husband used them 7 years ago with our first, but had to be reminded of a few things this time around. If you don't put the inner nipple in you will get leaks and it doesn't work as it should, and if you don't know how to empty the excess milk by pinching in the sides to open 2 holes, you will have a nipple full of milk, which can make eating a little harder for baby at the end of the bottle.

Best We've Tried
These function better than any others we've tried (and we'ver tried MANY). Baby really likes it! Yes, the inner component breaks w/ time -- but only after a month or two of daily use (for us anyway...). But by then they are probably due for replacement anyway; this is a part your baby is chewing and sucking on daily, I really don't want it to last much longer than a couple of months. Furthermore, they only cost a couple of dollars (each) to replace! And, I can't expect a business to sell the inner and outer parts separately as many are complaining about... again, they only cost a couple of bucks. I have recommended the product to friends.

Only comes with the nipples and insert...
I guess maybe I just didnt look close enough, but this two pack only comes with the nipples and insert, NOT the connector peice to the bottle. So I ordered a new bottle, and that doesnt come with the connector peice either. So now I have two bottles, three nipples, three nipple inserts and only one conector peice (from my original bottle that had become old and worn out, hence the replacement).Overall I LOVE the breastflow bottles. My daughter is 6 months now, and we still breastfeed, we have been using theses bottles almost scince day one and we have never had any nipple confusion whatsoever. My daughter will easily go from my breast to this bottle no problemo. Esspecially now, when we are phasing out breast it can be easy for them to get confused. My biggest issue with the actual bottles is actually part of the design plan, the milk/formula catches in the little space between the nipple and the insert, so when you are done feeding you have to sqeeze the little bit back into the bottle, it dosnt even amount to half an ounce, but still. Other than that, which is actually what its supposed to do, I have no beef. I just wish I had more connector peices.

Add-on Woes
Bought this again as my in preparation for my nephew's arrival. The product helped my other nephew (10 months old) latch properly to inverted nipples, but having his ship as a separate entity for he other First Years products was simply disheartening especially since I purchased other items additional items that I didn't need just to ensure the nipples met the add-on requirements.Long story short I had to pay my international shipment company 2 sets of fees.So annoying

Great for Breastfeeding babies
I started my daughter out on the Stage 1 Nipple and it was too hard for her to get the milk from, which ultimately resulted in wasted milk. (UGH!) I than switched her over to Stage 2 Nipple and it worked like a charm, she loved it, and took to it right away, she was not picky about me placing breast milk or formula in the bottle for her she took to it. At first it took her a couple of practice sessions to get the hang of mommy not breastfeeding her (5-10mins) at each feeding, before she would latch on securely. By her 3rd feeding she was a pro. I started feeding her at about 5 weeks old, to ensure she would not give our childcare provider any trouble, and I am glad that I made the choice to buy this product! (One more thing, I have read on several other reviews that Stage 1 Nipple worked better for their baby, and for other Stage 2 Nipple worked better, but in my daughter's case she needed to start off with Stage 2, and I bought both nipples just in case)

I love that there are replacement nipples
I love that there are replacement nipples! The bottles are recommended by the lactation specialists at Kaiser. I love them! They support nursing mothers by requiring babies to latch on. My son has never had a problem with them and his spit up has always been very minimal to nonexistent. Best of all, they are SO EASY to clean! Now my daughter will be able to use the same bottles and I can rest assured that the nipples are new and not worn down.

Amazing bottles.
These Breastflow bottles have been so great for my daughter. I breastfed her, and when I was at work we would supplement with formula. These bottles are AWESOME for going back & forth between breast & bottle. I weaned my little girl at 11 months because I'm pregnant again, so these bottles are in constant use now. The things people are saying about the inner nipple being not very durable, splitting in half, etc... this is obviously due to washing them in the dishwasher. We have never used a dishwasher for ours and we haven't had to replace the nipple yet. They have really thorough bottle brushes out there - use that. I'm actually stunned that these bottles have even one bad review. They're great.
