Purchased this Generator for a caravan camping holiday as we was on a site with no electric hookup .Item arrived earlier than stated which i was very happy about as i decided to purchase it at the last min and so that gave me a bit of time to set it up and make sure it all run ok .It was very easy to set up i just had to measure the oil out and fill up with petrol .. its also great it has a key start .It run really well and coped with everything i needed to use : Fridge /lights /water heater/ microwave .The level of noise was reasonably good .. No it wasn't silent but what engine is.Overall I am very pleased with my purchase & would i recommend or buy this item again most definitely yes ..

A high quality high output generator
I bought this generator to replace a previous, less powerful one that I had used for 13 years. I was encouraged to by this product by various reviews on it from differen sources.I was impressed by what you got for the money, the 2yr warranty and the rapid delivery to me.I unpacked the generator to find many useful features. I filled it with oil, to the required level, added petrol and decided to had start it at first. The generator fired up and ran from the second pull. After a few minutes I stopped it and tried the electric start, which work perfectly and for the small extra price seemed a good idea, especially if others are to start this machine.Obviously, I cannot comment on long term reliability but, at the moment Imwould not hesitate to buy this product again or to recommend it to others.I live in a pretty remote rural location and it's not unusual in winter to have the overhead power lines down for 24 hours or so. This will run fridge-freezer, lights, TV and more ...brilliant with heat from a log stove ( own felled and cut logs)

Excellent product and service, highly recommended
Very quick delivery to the Western Isles of Scotland, the generator was very well protected in it’s transport box.Minimal assembly, filled the oil and fuel as directed and it fired up on the first pull. Battery was fully charged and starts the generator first turn, handy to have both battery and recoil start facilities. The generator is well built and looks very robust in it’s protective frameVery pleased with the purchase

A disaster!
Oil is vital when using this, and the oil level has to be full otherwise the unit won't function, right? So why is the oil filler hole in the most inaccessible place on the unit?Initially I couldn't even locate the oil filler cap, because it arrived with the wings broken off and all I saw was a blank piece of plastic. When I did locate and remove it, on the underside there looked to be a piece also missing which I presumed was the dipstick. I was concerned this would mean there was a broken plastic dipstick floating around in the oil reservoir but on contacting the seller he assured me that there was no dipstick attached to the underside of the cap. However on receiving a replacement cap, there WAS a dipstick attached. So whoever assembled this unit knowingly fitted a broken cap with no wings or dipstick, because it would be almost impossible for the wings to break off in transit, but totally impossible for the dipstick to be??So the new oil cap arrived and I was ready to fill with oil.But due to the placement of the oil filler and the angle it's set at, it's impossible to put oil in from an oil bottle. It's also impossible to use a funnel. I decided that if I tilted the generator 45 degrees then a funnel could be used assisted by gravity. So I put some cushions down and began slowly lowering the unit. I hadn't even reached the cushions when I heard a loud crack. On returning it to level position I discovered that the mounting blocks holding the motor had broken. The metal mounts holding the motor in place seem to be made of a cheap metal alloy. It appears that the generator may be designed in Germany and have a German name, but is made in China? So now I'm stuck with a generator I have never used that weighs 44kg and would have been a nightmare to freight back. I decided that my only option is to hold onto it and at some stage try and remove the mounting brackets and use them as a template to get some proper brackets made out of decent metal. In the meantime I have some scrap metal sitting in my shed if anyone is interested.

Great Value
We bought this generator on the recommendation of a friend after a serious power cut in the storms. It arrived quickly, was easy to set up and started at first attempt. It could do with a set of wheels, it should be offered with this as an option. The wiring of the battery connectors is poor and could be done more simply. The wires obstruct the already awkward oil filler point. It is noisier than I expected, but at the price is great as an emergency backup.
