is this as effective as undenatured type ii collagen? i think i may have bought the wrong thing...

From what I have read, hydrolyzed type 2 collagen is used differently by the body than undenatured. Hydrolyzed helps rebuild tissue, while undenatured works through the immune system to prevent breakdown.

Is this collagen hydrolyzed?

The packaging does not specifically state if it is hydrolyzed. The packaging states, "....provides BioCell Collagen, a low molecular weight, water-soluble glycosaminoglycan complex completely derived from chicken sternum cartilage." I don't know whether making it "bioavailable" means it is hydrolyzed, but it makes no mention of it on the packaging and it doesn't mention hydrolization anywhere on Jarrow's website. Sorry I couldn't provide a definitive answer.

Does it pork gelatin ?

NO!!! Absolutely not,at least not in their ingredient list. Jarrow is a fairly ethical company, I can't imagine them slipping pork products in their chicken collagen...
