Mine senses the size of the pay based on the steel/iron footprint on the burner and heats accordingly. BergHOFF uses a steel pattern on the bottom of an aluminum pan and your cooktop may not heat the entire area on the bottom of the pan. I have some burners that do not recognize the pan at all due to the limited amount of steel surface area. I find the burners that do recognize the pans heat in the center and therefore you get uneven cooking (hot in the center and cool at the edges). Not what I was expecting so if you use induction be very aware of this design flaw. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was amazed that the claims made were true *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2015* My wife brought a set of these pans home and I was skeptical about the claims they made in their web videos. The next morning, I used the skillet and pancake pan to make bacon, eggs and pancakes to test them out. I was amazed that the claims made were true. The pancakes cooked perfectly without the use of any oil or butter in the pan, and they did not stick at all. In fact, my family commented that the pancakes were fluffy and pretty as they scarfed them down. As for cleaning this pan, I wiped it down with a paper towel and it looked like I hadn’t even used it. I usually make the bacon in a cast iron skillet, and then clean it out a bit and make the eggs in the same skillet. This usually produces eggs that are heavy, oily (I use butter to cook eggs in cast iron), and a bit discolored from the bacon grease, but not with these pans. The bacon grease and residue wiped out completely with a paper towel, then I cooked scrambled eggs in the pan without using any butter or oil. Not only did the eggs not stick, neither did the cheese I put on top.
