Excellent replacement
Mine arrived with all new metal battery contacts in a bag so I didn't have to go harvesting them from the original case, though the +ve contact that is fitted into the case half was still very awkward to fit. It just wouldn't sit down onto its locating peg.Key to assembly is watching the video where it shows to assemble the blade and spring assembly into the case half with the release button hole and then offer up that case half to the other half but before closing the case twist the case halves relative to each other a couple of turns to pre-load the spring and get the blade flick action to work. I must have looked away from the video at the wrong moment because I missed that step. Instead, when my blade flick wouldn't work, I re-opened up the case and advanced the tang on the spring into a slot ½ a turn on (clockwise). It still works but the blade flick on my fob is a little weaker than it should be. Now everything's assembled and the Ford badge is stuck back on, I've seen the video again but it's too late to open the fob back up again without wrecking the sticky pad ...maybe the seller will see this review and offer to send me new sticky pad so I can have another go! ;-)However, I'm very pleased with the results and would recommend this item.

Okay but not great
This nearly got sent back because there is a part missing. On the reverse side the is an indent were a screw goes and clearly a sticker should then be applied to fill the hole in. None was present. However, I persevered and moved the key and internal ccircuit board and fitted a new battery. The case does fit and surprisingly it does unlock the doors but its not Ford quality. Shame, I would have paid more for a better fit, just couldn't find anything. Will I buy again? no, I want something that is high quality.

Not easy to change over
Not exactly the same as the original key but after an hour off fiddling about I managed to get it working. And it didn't come with replacement battery

Changed it for a remote one as one fitting did not sit right in manual one
