Q: Are these trail shoes heavy? Is it suitable for extensive travel?

No, these are not heavy by any means. I'm not sure what you mean by extensive travel-whether it be by actual mileage on them or toting with you on a long trip but these shoes are flexible enough to bend in half if they need to be stuffed in a backpack or duffel bag...but I really can't see the need, as they are so minimal that if you stacked one shoe on to the other you're probably looking at 4in. in height. The soles are the meat of these shoes so maybe they could hold out for miles and miles, not sure. They're rather inexpensive so the try is worth the buy, personally I haven't regretted it and these are my first "zero gravity" type of shoe. Sooooo comfortable!

I don't usually walk natural trails so that's a tough one to answer. They are comfy, very natural feeling, and excellent for walking on other surfaces. I think they are great for the price.

I also wear 10.5. I went with the 10 and they fit fine. The toe box mesh stretches. They're actually pretty comfy to walk/stand. Probably gonna be my boat shoes.
