Used to watch all the Steve Reeves movies at the pictures when I was younger with friends still enjoyed this on dvd brought back memories.

All I can say is that it brings back memories of seeing the films at the cinema.

The visual quality is AWFUL

Heard a lot about this film as being one of Steve Reeves best known movies so bought it. I found it okay but not outstanding.

Contrary to the claim this Spanish Blu ray release of Hercules Unchained has english options-this is Italian, Spanish friendly. But there is no english option on subtitles or audio. Picture seemed to be widescreen, solid and clean otherwise.

Too bad it still had a $1 price sticker on it from a vendor's store...LOL But for $6.49 with free shipping, I can not complain.

If you are reading this then you most likely already know the movies and have watched then before. I first saw these two on TV back in the 60's as a kid, it brings back old memories. This review will be on picture quality only, because I think that is what the buyers of this DVD will want. The picture is good, not great, but good. It is in full screen as stated, and there are a few small flaws with picture quality. This should not be a factor in owning, this DVD, as these are two classics from the past. If you enjoyed watching them 50 years ago, you will be happy to see them again. If you are young and these were before your time, then just keep in mind when these two films were shot, and nothing has been digitally redone, like you can get in some of the older films. There is a limited market and cost always plays into things. Sit back and enjoy a piece of history, you will feel like you have moved back in time.

As described, am very pleased. Note, the picture quality is good, not great, but in all fairness, until someone properly restores these two great classic gems featuring Steve Reeves, you get what you pay for. Nevertheless, do not let that detur you from owning a copy;these two classics on one disc are a must have to add to your sword and sandle collection, let me also mention that this review is for the VCI release. Als Freund solcher alten Sandalenschinken kann ich nur sagen. Es war für mich eine Riesenfreude, daß dieser Klassiker jetzt nochmal neu in bester Bild- und Tonqualität veröffenticht wurde. Als Zusatz auf der DVD gibt es noch die Italienische Kinofassung mit allerding einer etwas schlechteren Bildqualität.
