I needed a 55-inch for a rental property. After 6 months still working and it looks great.

This is, at best, an average TV for what you are going to pay for it. I've historically had good luck with Samsung products, but this TV has several built in apps and ads that you really can't avoid that also slow down the navigation of the TV's operating system and make for a miserable experience. I cannot count how many times every other device in the house works perfectly, but the TV is unable to connect to internet and requires a hard reboot. It's frustrating as can possibly be, and this thing isn't even 2 years old. Don't waste the money on the premium brand in this case.

I love Samsung Smart TVs. The clarity and sound is always superior. You'll see how much pasty makeup TV people use! Sports and movies are spectacular. It takes time for us older folks to learn how to get full use out of a Smart TV. But it's great considering our first TV was B&W in a huge floor cabinet. I'd opt for wall mount done by a trained person. Mine is on the stand, but the legs look precarious although they are very sturdy. Plus, hang it as it takes up too much space in any room You'll become accustomed to the large screen in a few days. At first it's overwhelming and may freak out your eyes with the bright screen and size. But you'll adjust and wonder why you hadn't bought already. Just wait for the sales. The only reason I bought this is I got irritated when my cats knocked over my 55" Samsung and cracked part if the screen. So i waited til sale! This new one is about to get wall mounted! (Please don't hang your TV over your fireplace..it's awful!) Be sure to ask for delivery men to set up the unit. Extra delivery cost is worth it. It is cumbersome and heavy. You'll be happy!

So figuring out what TV to buy with all the reviews can be daunting. Ultimately, I figured a Samsung should be fine. It is so far. The picture is fine, though I think the internal sharpening is doing a bit too much. Too many shows look like they were shot as reality TV now with people appearing to pop out away from the background. I tried playing with the presets and custom settings and couldn't make it look normal. Finally, I was able to fix things by a google search. If this is bothering you google 'get rid of soap opera picture samsung tv'. You have to go into the expert picture settings and disable auto mode. The only real issue I have is the apps are not great. Multiple apps (Paramount+, Brit Box, Peacock) have frozen on me or given errors on multiple occasions. Attaching a roku gets past this issue since it is clearly an issue with the Samsung implementation of these apps. And as far as the many people complaining about the remote...It's fine. A bit small and takes some getting used to. But it did work with the roku, which was pretty neat. No need for two remotes. ****updating after a couple of months using*** The freezing of the Samsung apps is a constant bother. You have to use the Roku or the TV is unusable. Also, I bought the SAMSUNG HW-B650 3.1ch Soundbar to go with this TV and it will get randomly disconnected from the TV's bluetooth. The ONLY way to fix this issue is to unplug the TV and reset the hardware. Nothing else works. I've tried repairing the bluetooth, etc. Only unplugging the TV works. In short, this TV is a piece of garbage in terms of user experience. Picture is good. I suspect every smart TV is like this to some extent.

It worked pretty good for almost 4 months and then it just quit working period. Getting Samsung to keep their warranty word is less than terrible. I've contacted them from every venue and I either get sorry we're closed at this time. Buyer seriously beware when you feel like dumping 1000 cash out the toilet. Disappointed
